i used to live in st mellons but i think in the new st mellons bc i was living in the new apartments that were built in 2021, but there were soo many mentally unstable people in there, i moved to rhiwbina in 2022. it’s kinda a shame because the apartment was very modern and it was really nice when it was built, i was on the top floor, number 50 something, it had 4-5 floors, and 2 different ways to exit the apartment, the staircase area was so nice, it was massive and all the walls were windows, i miss the apartment but not the area nor the people who lived inside

St Mellons is an odd one, as a current resident i can say that trowbridge is a pretty dangerous area, far worse at night. Yet you can walk 5 minutes to old St Mellons and be surrounded by mansions with pools and gated driveways. The crime rates are combined for trowbridge, St Mellons and Old St Mellons all completely different places so the stats are not a true picture. Sadly the labour run city council caused most of the problems with constant cuts to services and would rather invest in vanity projects in the rich areas so they can look good in the wider publics eye.

West Bromwich isn’t far from Birmingham City Centre Maybe you would consider doing a tour from City Centre, driving through Digbeth and looking at the ‘Custard House’ complex. Then through Sparkhill and Sparkbrook. These are areas that have become very run/down, diverse & no-go areas at night. Many old public houses have been closed down. Ladypool Road too, is an area many people would be loathe to visit. Although it is an area famous for its curry houses. Subscribed. Thank you.

I used to live on a street next to the A444 and I used to have right to the edge of Hillfields to get to primary school. Me and my mum used to go there to get chips on the occasional weekend, and i either had to stay home or me and my brother would stay in the car and guard it with the keys inside, doors locked. Watched a guy throw a full can of white paint over the back fence of his store and onto the pavement. Stepped on a used needle once, thankfully it couldn’t pierce my boot sole. Some fucker abandoned a mother cat and her kittens in the aforementioned parking lot form the video, proceeded to threaten us when we tried to take it to the vets. And yet, despite all that, I’m still more terrified of Foleshill than Hillfields. And I lived sandwiched between the two.

I grew up in Allesley Park which although is the same city was a world away from these places. I've never been to most of these places except for Hillfilelds as was close to Highfield Road. Family still live in Coundon which although isn't exactly exciting feels safe and suburban.

Great video. All these places where a lot better in the 1960s-70s when I lived there.I expect it's just a few people causing the problems for everyone else around the estates.The rest are nice people wanting to live peacefully.

Redcliffe is posh, city centre and temple meads are normal. Try adding Easton, stokes croft, montpellier, Saint Paul's, Knowle, fishponds

Two of the flats I have ocupied are featured here. One in Bedminster and one in Temple Meads. The 'recently empty' properties in Temple Meads have been empty for at least 20 years and are zoned for redevelopment. It's no worse than many other city areas. Southmead is the only place I refuse to go .. that is scary.

Born and raised in Cardiff, more specifically Riverside, and I can definitely say this video has made it sound worse than it is. The main issue would be fly tipping if anything, and those dodgy folk the council decided to house on Tudor street.
