The reality is that the UK since WW2 ended entirely !ost the British Empire which created vast profits and has been negatively effected by the end of the 2nd Industrial Revolution. So essentially the UK has lost millions of well paid jobs for not very well educated people. This has created the issue of urban wastelands. The 3rd Industrial Revolution is all about digital automation. well This provides far fewer but far higher paid work opportunities. As a result, there are now millions of ppl in the UK who are no longer economically viable. This has nothing to do with immigration ... One would have to suggest that the content creator and the vast majority of commentators here try reading some books 😒

It's just like a lot of northern towns. This is what happens when the local economy is totally trashed by governments who close our industries whilst not providing funding and alternative sources of jobs.

Born in Cas' in '65 had a couple of years in Ponte, moved overseas in '04.The Cas' and Ponte' I remember were awesome places. The nightlife in both towns was cracking. Ripping the heavy Industries out of the area will not have helped these places.

Mattresses and upholstery left outside become rats' nests. If a house near mine left those sorts of things outside they would hear from me.

I moved to Foleshill in 2017, leaving in 2019 and it genuinely didnt feel that bad. Id make the occasional shopping trip over to Bell Green and that was notably rougher. Left the midlands in 2019 and now live in the countryside...much nicer.
