It's easy to criticize in the subjective realm. "Fugly" is your opinion but we know that millions think it is amazing. Thinking a little more objectively, thoroughly, and deeper is much more effective to be taken seriously which is unfortunately getting rare these days. If you are honest you would admit that the CT is an impressive feat of engineering AND quite the opposite of pointless. It hits a sweet spot that no other vehicle does. Specifically the CT uniquely combines : 1) A maneuverable and comfortable daily driver, 2) A vehicle. with unsurpassed structural rigidity and feel which no other vehicle has DUE SPECIFICALLY to its unique structural design, 3) A real truck with very respectable cargo and towing capacity which includes a quality automatic locking storage tonneau, 4) Has 110 and 240V power for work site or home backup, 5) True off road capability (now that new software and locking diffs have been added which from recent reviews is proving to be quite a blast. 6) Impressive acceleration and handling for a truck even in the dual motor form 7) Good road tripping vehicle. The combination of features/attributes above is unique and presents an unparalleled value proposition to the buyer. No, not pointless.

In the era of EVs we need to stop talking about torque. Its simply not relevant any more. Infact it kinda stopped being relevant for ICE vehicles with the introduction of 8 speed gearboxes. Torque is only relevant for vehicles which will be asked to produce power outside their normal peak power range, e.g at 2000rpm. A modern transmission will whip up the engine revs to peak power very quickly now, so only power matters.

@@davidbeppler3032 If you don't believe me on the US not having any pedestrian safety laws, Google is but a new tab away. The Cybertruck cannot be sold in Europe because it cannot pass their safety standards. That is fact. Semis mostly keep to freeways and gas stops, and as commercial vehicles they are subject to different laws. Not often you see semis cruising on city or suburban streets the way a consumer vehicle like the Cybertruck will. Whether you think that's acceptable or not is something you should petition your government on.

To be fair you would have to compare to other full size trucks. First of all, Teslas have the best autobrake system to not hit pedestrians. Secondly, the front of the Cybertruck is much lower giving you a chance to be thrown over the vehicle instead of pancaked and potentially run over. Even with a potential for getting hurt by sharp corners I am pretty sure the Cybertruck is safer.

It's not the vehicle for you boomers. Political view just killed your authenticity

Political view? Our guys avoid all discussion of religion and politics in both our channels and our podcast. We state pros and cons of every vehicle we drive. What political view was stated here?

? - We are automotive journalists (going on 18 years now) and review a different car every week. Meanwhile, most of the Cybertruck reviews on line have been done by people that don’t own the Cybertruck. Thanks for the comment anyway.

Uh … it’s an automotive journalist review channel, not KZbinrs buying crazy stuff to vlog about. And these guys are great at reviewing and comparing a very wide range of cars for the masses of driving enthusiasts. Not sure why you were expecting something else from them.

@@tedadamgreenI wouldn’t go that far. Everything they said sounded like some scripted half witted attempt at serious journalism with a twist of comedy. 😂

@@ChosenMJ all I can tell you is they have been at this for near two decades and maybe this isn’t a good match for you … it seems your mileage varies from mine. For me these guys are tops in talking about Everyday Driver vehicles, especially their twice weekly podcast where people write in asking for specific recommendations for their use cases. But everyone has different tastes. Sorry they don’t match yours but thanks for checking out the channel and commenting as that boost their algorithm!!

Nah, they’re fugly and a truck is impractical for most people relative to an SUV.

@ They’re actually bad ass, super strong, extremely functional, and will last twice as long as ICE trucks, for most people. Use one for any length of time and be absolutely amazed, especially with FSD.
