I've said it before but I can't get over how much better your audio mixing is than not just most of automotive KZbin, but most of KZbin in general. No matter what's going on I can always hear both of you clearly, and you're not *_shouting_* at me like a lot of more modern content creators. It's so refreshing. Makes it easy to watch every video start to finish.

The price will come down evenyually, but why bring the price down when orders are still coming in for the foundation series? Companies sell their products for whatever the market supports. They can only sell what they can build, and right now they're selling as many as they can build. If they brought the price down to $5 they wouldn't sell a single extra truck.

Let me preface what I'm about to say with; I'm glad there are still experiments like this in the auto industry because 99% of vehicles on sale today are so boring and same-y, but... That thing is so ridiculously fugly and pointless I'm honestly questioning society's collective sanity.

@getreal7217

It's easy to criticize in the subjective realm. "Fugly" is your opinion but we know that millions think it is amazing. Thinking a little more objectively, thoroughly, and deeper is much more effective to be taken seriously which is unfortunately getting rare these days. If you are honest you would admit that the CT is an impressive feat of engineering AND quite the opposite of pointless. It hits a sweet spot that no other vehicle does. Specifically the CT uniquely combines : 1) A maneuverable and comfortable daily driver, 2) A vehicle. with unsurpassed structural rigidity and feel which no other vehicle has DUE SPECIFICALLY to its unique structural design, 3) A real truck with very respectable cargo and towing capacity which includes a quality automatic locking storage tonneau, 4) Has 110 and 240V power for work site or home backup, 5) True off road capability (now that new software and locking diffs have been added which from recent reviews is proving to be quite a blast. 6) Impressive acceleration and handling for a truck even in the dual motor form 7) Good road tripping vehicle. The combination of features/attributes above is unique and presents an unparalleled value proposition to the buyer. No, not pointless.

I really can’t stand the man at Tesla but I also know many good people and engineers worked on this and dealt with that awful man to make this. I can’t write it off completely because I don’t like Elon. And I know when things like this get made, 10 years from now many of the features and tech this pioneers will end up in other vehicles. Still think in my opinion I agree that it’s awful awful awful looking it’s only unique in the sense that it’s almost not designed? Idunno it doesn’t make me not able to think objectively simply because I don’t like it. It also does seem somewhat useless as well, there’s just so many other vehicles out there truck’s specifically that can do what it does maybe minus the speed but like, I’ve never gotten into my 600 hp truck and thought, wish it had 845 … it’s all good we can disagree you have to be able to do that as well, be ok with someone not agreeing with your take. 😊✌🏾

If people are willing to pay for it, Tesla would be stupid not to offer it. I personally wouldn't want to buy any car in its first few years after release, as that's when all the problems surface. If I were getting a CT I'd want the 2028 model, as then 99% of the bugs will be worked out and it will probably be $30-40k cheaper by then. Keep in mind that this vehicle cannot be sold in Europe because it doesn't pass pedestrian crash safety standards -- you don't have to be a scientist to get an idea as to what those jagged front corners will do to a human being even at low speeds. The only reason Tesla can sell it in the US is because we don't have ANY pedestrian crash safety standards here WHATSOEVER. Make no mistake, human lives will be needlessly lost because of Tesla's carelessness here.

That is BS. If Cybertruck is illegal then all Semis should be illegal. Hit someone at 30mph in any semi and tell me how they are feeling.

@@davidbeppler3032 If you don't believe me on the US not having any pedestrian safety laws, Google is but a new tab away. The Cybertruck cannot be sold in Europe because it cannot pass their safety standards. That is fact. Semis mostly keep to freeways and gas stops, and as commercial vehicles they are subject to different laws. Not often you see semis cruising on city or suburban streets the way a consumer vehicle like the Cybertruck will. Whether you think that's acceptable or not is something you should petition your government on.

To be fair you would have to compare to other full size trucks. First of all, Teslas have the best autobrake system to not hit pedestrians. Secondly, the front of the Cybertruck is much lower giving you a chance to be thrown over the vehicle instead of pancaked and potentially run over. Even with a potential for getting hurt by sharp corners I am pretty sure the Cybertruck is safer.

Uh … it’s an automotive journalist review channel, not KZbinrs buying crazy stuff to vlog about. And these guys are great at reviewing and comparing a very wide range of cars for the masses of driving enthusiasts. Not sure why you were expecting something else from them.

@@user-zf1ol7op7y all I can tell you is they have been at this for near two decades and maybe this isn’t a good match for you … it seems your mileage varies from mine. For me these guys are tops in talking about Everyday Driver vehicles, especially their twice weekly podcast where people write in asking for specific recommendations for their use cases. But everyone has different tastes. Sorry they don’t match yours but thanks for checking out the channel and commenting as that boost their algorithm!!

I think the type of buyer will change, but I don't think it's going away. When the price comes down and FSD is solved this will really appeal to fleet owners for r construction sites and stuff due to the ruggedness and not having to worry about employees banging it up if FSD is doing the driving. It will likely even be able to go get tools or materials on its own eventually - send it to get a load of dirt or lumber, or pick up your takeout order, or go pick up a coworker, or to fetch a piece of equipment that was forgotten back at the yard, etc.

@@BradBolin it's not quite a unibody, it's kind of a hybrid that is much tougher and stronger than your typical unibody. I am quite confident when people start beating the crap out of it on job sites it will hold up better than any other truck. Maybe not the first year or two of production, there are always bound to be issues that crop up in the first two to three years, but I would be very confident getting a 2028 CT for a job site where it will not be shown any mercy, and I would fully expect it to take a good couple decades of abuse without much issue.
