Great review!!! Love my newSEED pants i just got for my birthday from my GF, she got a pair for herself as well. I LOVE the elastic, i personally wouldn't like a draw string.... perfect as they are. I have a pair of HEMP pants that still today don't show any sign of wear at all (just a shitty fit tho) SEED fit is awesome!

Amazing to hear you’re loving the Jean!

Yea, hemp is crazy durable, I wish more brands used it. The elastic works great for me too, although I can get "pantsed" if the fabric gets caught on a limb or something, ha. That's the nice thing about a drawstring is it's more secure and would be a nice backup for if the elastic ever wears out. Happy adventures out there!

Great video! I’ve been waiting for a long term review of these lol. I bought my first pair after watching your first review on them. They’re definitely very different from any pant you’ll find out there but in the best way. I’m 5’2” and the small is great for outdoor activities and work as well as just lounging. But they’re a little too baggy and long in the leg for casual use or if I’m barefoot. So I got an XS and that had a cleaner fit and length for casual use.

Yea, it's cool when a company just 100% does their own thing and makes a product that's nothing like anything else out there. You could roll up the legs on your small's, if you haven't already, that's what I do. Glad the XS's work well, tho!

Loved the review! I’ve been eyeing those for awhile. Have you ever tried the dirt pants from Topo Designs?
@AndrewFoltsАй бұрын
I was considering those, but I decided on the Alpine Hike pants instead, because the knees were more loose than the Dirt's. The whole lower half of Seed Pants fits snug light a tight, which is great for climbing, but the Dirt's are tight and then fan out at the bottom, which seemed like the worst of both worlds to me. But maybe I'll try them at some point, we'll see.

I was checking these out a couple weeks ago they looked funky in the seat to me but they may be good anyway.
@AndrewFoltsАй бұрын
Yea, they're designed as climbing pants, so you have the max range of movement, but it would def be cool to see a Seed Cargo for everyday or hiking where the gusseted crotch isn't needed.
@xaviereschembre6842Ай бұрын
I think the main reason they do the gusseted crotch is that harem style pants are supposed to be much healthier for having room and breathability.
@seedpants22 күн бұрын
@@xaviereschembre6842you got it! We make them with room for movement AND for below the belt health :) It’s good for our privates to have room to move and breathe.

what's your waist size? Would L be too large for you?
@AndrewFolts28 күн бұрын
My waist is around 31". I think I could probably fit into the Large too. The elastic waistband and gusseted crotch are nice, because there's lots of flexibility to roll it up, if you want to adjust the fit/length.
@mysense700527 күн бұрын
@@AndrewFolts I see, but you don't feel the need to go bigger for more freedom of movement, right?
@AndrewFolts27 күн бұрын
@@mysense7005 No, the medium seems to fit perfect for me. But if I had a bigger build I would def size up to the large.

I like the look of these. Unfortunately I have always had beefy calves, so slim pants don't want. Even tapered pants tend to start a taper way too high. If taper started maybe a foot from bottom hem it would be much better.
@AndrewFoltsАй бұрын
Yea, Seed's are indeed slim, so it sounds like the Alpine pants would work better in your case. bit.ly/40XlUKe
@mysense7005Ай бұрын
What exactly is the crotch material? Is it stretchy or just wide?
@AndrewFoltsАй бұрын
Mostly cotton/hemp with 4% spandex for stretch.
@mysense7005Ай бұрын
@@AndrewFolts I see, thanks. Lately, I've been wondering why pants manufacturers never use knitted fabrics to make them more stretchy instead of using synthetics like elastane. I don't mean actually knitting pants, but using the kind of fabric used in polo t-shirts for example. Where it's a very fine knit. I wonder if there are any technical issues with that.
@AndrewFoltsАй бұрын
@@mysense7005 I suspect it's because while a more springy knit can add flexibility initially it tends to stretch out and get baggy over time, whereas spandex is known for durability longterm and being able to recover it's shape over and over.
