Funniest thing I’ve ever seen is how this video opened with “Hollywood is in shambles because of so many reasons including constant reboots and IP movies only” and the first ad that pops up is for a Bridget Jone’s Diary reboot that literally no one is asking for

tbh I enjoyed on stranger tides, because for one they still had a compelling villain that actually made sense and didn't have any random and even retconning level of connection to Jack, and at least during the 4th movie Jack is still mostly as compelling as he was in the first three movies, he just got caught up in some things that is understandable (meanwhile the 5th one just felt like it made no sense with where and what he was doing i mean he first appears in a safe with a woman and is dragged through out a town only to lose his crew right after) and the other characters are alright but the main one that steals the show is of course Black beard with his eye candy of a ship, while the 5th one is....yeah, though I will admit the 4th one definitely has not the best story but there is something about it that still kinda fits? i guess? idk but either way they always teased another movie to be made given the end credits scenes so they knew they where going to eventually, it just didnt go as well as the first three movies (I will also say the whole thing with the spanish was in my opinion what really made the movie worse, there whole presence in the movie kinda just didnt make any genuine sense to me and only could make sense because two fishermen found some dude who had the book of Poncedelion or how ever his name is spelled)

They didnt even explain the night king's motivations or relationships. He was just big evil bad. And if he was just supposed to be an allegory for nature/climate change, then it was a failed allegory because they beat him in 1 episode with little to no losses besides Mr.Friendzone

The ending didn't hit as hard because there wasn't enough screen time of joel and Ellie and seeing how their bond grew over time, they wasted time on unnecessary episodes such as the gay love story (which took an entire episode). 7/10

I’m sure the fact that you labeled it as the gay love story episode doesn’t highlight an underlying prejudice at all

@movieoverload it was a love story about 2 gay men, we're allowed to call it what it is are we not haha? If I point out that TLOU is a story about a mind-altering deadly fungi do I have an underlying prejudice against mushrooms??

i dont have a ps so i never got to play the game. I just finsihed the show 2 days ago and i absolutley loved it. I had no conntexxt about anything going in so my opinon will be very differnt about it. I love everything about the show. There r some things that are scientifically wrong and Joel is litteraly a superhuman but i'm in love with the soundtrack. Already 1/3 way through learning the theme song on piano. Cant wait for season 2 .

My only big concern is that season two is only two real life years after part one. Part two of the game is a good four to five years after part one. Ellie is an adult in part two. Bella Ramsey still looks like a little kid. It’s going to take some serious suspension of belief for me to believe a young kid would be able to go through everything Ellie has to do in Seattle.

I enjoyed your video and you’re right about pretty much everything you say. Having said that you could’ve just made a four minute and 30 second video by simply stating the Galactic obvious which is Dan and Dave are not good screenwriter they were standing on the shoulder of a giant and oncethey had no more source material, they showed their true colors which was boring and colorless. That’s why the show failed.

Side note: HotD Season 1 isn't boring bc we want all action and can't handle dialogue. Its boring bc the dialogue is each character repeating the same thing for 7 straight hours before ending at the exact point season 2 wpuld somehow circle back to. It's entertaining for certain, but let's not pretend like it isn't an 8 hour version of half a GoT season 1 episode.

Ep 2 : My 2 cents here is that Tess is optimistic, and even more after she's bitten, she has to be. She also "acts" ( no pun intended ×2 ;) ) different. the dynamics between Joel, Ellie and her change. Now she has purpose because of the bigger picture and is the only time she gets emotional. Hope is something that is scares throughout the show/game.. Makes me think what she would do at the end in the hospital.

Title: Godzilla: The Last Apex Plot: The film opens in the year 2050, where humanity has adapted to a world where Kaiju attacks have become somewhat predictable, and cities are rebuilt quickly after each strike. However, something is different this time-Kaiju sightings are escalating at an alarming rate. Instead of isolated appearances, these creatures are coming in waves, organized and coordinated, as if they’re being led by something far more powerful. Enter Godzilla, who has been in a dormant state beneath the ocean since the last major battle years ago. As the Kaiju forces multiply, scientists begin to theorize that a new apex predator has emerged: an ancient, more terrifying creature known as Abyssus, a monstrous deep-sea leviathan, who once ruled the ocean and has now awoken from its slumber due to climate change and the disturbance of deep-sea drilling. The story follows a group of scientists and military personnel who must figure out how to stop the relentless Kaiju and prevent the rise of Abyssus. As they investigate, they discover that the creature’s awakening has a connection to an ancient civilization that once worshipped it. These humans had left behind a mysterious artifact that may hold the key to stopping Abyssus, but it's hidden in a location fraught with danger. Godzilla, having sensed the imbalance, rises from the depths, not just to defend humanity but to protect his domain as the true king of the monsters. As Godzilla and Abyssus face off in an epic battle, humanity must make a choice: work with Godzilla to stop the new threat or risk being wiped out in the battle for dominance between these ancient beasts. Themes: The delicate balance between nature and humanity's progress. The concept of "Apex" being more than just physical strength, but an idea of respect for the natural order. The idea that monsters can be both destroyers and protectors, depending on the perspective. Key Elements: Stunning underwater cinematography for the Abyssus reveal. Godzilla’s more regal, mysterious nature, as he’s not just a destroyer but a protector of his territory. A larger, more coordinated threat that forces both humanity and Godzilla to adapt in new ways. A massive showdown between Godzilla and Abyssus that spans land and sea. It could explore how Godzilla’s relationship with humanity has evolved over the years, with some factions seeing him as a necessary protector, while others view him as a threat to be destroyed. It's a mix of thrilling action, mystery, and environmental commentary.

Nah but this show will definitely get a reboot one day for at least season 5 onwards, by an ambitious & smart producer this time. The only thing keeping it from happening is that George still hasn't published the source material for it. It won't be the first time iconic shows get a reboot. Only down side is that it won't be the same actors anymore.

I honestly believe that PoTC 4 could've worked, even without Will and Elizabeth. The fountain of youth was mentioned as the next destination in Dead man's chest, so they got that right, but the writing sucked. Beginning the movie with the battle between thee Queen Anne's Revenge and the Black Pearl. What if Jack was captured by Barbossa in the name of the empire to find the fountain and get the water to the king, just for Barbossa to betray the british. Barbossa and Jack capture the Queen in an epic battle with the imperial ship, dunk their crew, take over the Queen's crew and free the Pearl once and for all. You get the idea, I just missed the writing

Absolutely fair review - 100% agree. My biggest criticisms were handcuffing Rhynera with indecision (and tolerating such blatantly disrespectful “advisors”), and the letdown of “the war that’s constantly talked about, but never comes”. Really?

I think the writers also said something about spores being omitted because they didn’t know how to convey everything the same when everyone was just wearing gas masks all the time. It would make filming and sound a lot harder. While in the game they recorded the lines on a separate track do it wasn’t an issue, having them wear gas masks in the show would have given the sound crew a lot more work that they probably didn’t have time for or were comfortable with

6:57 In the last of us podcast the show runners and Troy Baker talk about how they basically had to address that Ellie in the games while in a lot of cutscenes is an immature child she is completely too smart and emotionally mature for her age. Neil also says he didn’t know how to write a kid until he raised his own. Ashley Johnson gave an amazing performance and is still fantastic but Neil wanted to write Ellie in a more grounded way with his further life experience so she is different in the show. Craig and Neil both described Ellie’s age and maturity as in one sentence “fuck you and tuck me in”

47:07 there's a point in the game that's really easy to miss where you and Ellie encounter two dead bodies in a bathtub. The bodies have guns in their hands and it's very clear that they were suicides. Ellie points out that she can't begin to think how hard it might be to leave the world like that, to which Joel coldly states: "that ain't the hard part."

Many people say that part 2 is too demanding, but if they have watched season 1 at all, they know that Bella will knock it out of the park. If you weren’t convinced after the Henry & Sam or David episode, I don’t know… No, the real reason is that they have a problem with Bella‘s looks, but most sensible people won’t admit it.
