hey, new tInter here. Did you use a dryer sheet, or did you do a wet shrink? And it looks like you did the h on the outside, but didnt tack the middle up and down? Also, how did the top passenger corner turn out? It looks like it got a bit too much heat thee, did that affect the end result, especially when sticking tk the dot matrix? Any tips for doing a flawless install like this one? Thanks in advance :)
@blackoutkustomz55037 ай бұрын
Whats up I used a dryer sheet, and I applied it off camera. When you do an H pattern, you seal the edges just like an H like i did at the beginning and shrink inside the H. I've never tacked the middle. For the top corner, I did use more heat and didn't want to stick when I applied it, so I used the heat gun from the inside and pushed it out, and it stuck. And for the dot matrix on this car is not bad it stuck right away Everything car is different just have to keep practicing. It's all repetition

@JBIRD575 search on here on KZbin (glue method window tint) there's a video by solar Control and ace window tint that explains using clear Elmer's around the edges on old cars to control dirt I didn't do it on this truck but I usually clean the windows and seals a couple times but even then cutting on the inside is still gonna pull some dirt. @blackoutkustomz5503Ай бұрын
@jonathanfoster4299 i apologize. I never saw this message. But the black piece is black vinyl for dot matrix. Tint sometimes doesn't stick that good to the dots, so we use this vinyl instead.

The vinyl I used on the dot matrix did not create any fingers at all. But even if it did make fingers you can simply squeegee it out with out a heat gun. As apposed to tint where you need heat to squeegee the fingers out
