Great work, cant find a tinting "professional" near me that will even entertain my boat

Boats are time consuming and take a longer prep time cleaning the windows. A lot of shops turn boats away because they can work on more cars and make more money than to be stuck on a boat for a couple days

Yeah no kidding, they tell me I have to remove the glass from the frames.
@blackoutkustomz55032 жыл бұрын
@Benderfool when the glass and frames get taken off I've seen other ppl struggle to put the glass back in or get the frame to line up correctly and the frame can stay loose. Not worth the headaches or be held liable for messing up the boat

Sick. I hate doing boats. But getting better every single time I do one.

at 13:35 you showed how you came up short we usually tell the client if they have these older boats and dont want to pay to remove the glass for new gaskets etc to get it tinted right that there might be small light gaps and we will fill them with a paint pen to make it look seamless and apart of the gasket. What do you do on that situation?
@blackoutkustomz55032 жыл бұрын
I used to use paint pen but the paint would smear into the tint making a mess. Now whenever someone wanted a boat done I tell them up front that there will probably be a gap and if there gonna be ok with that then I'll tint it if not then I tell them to take it to another shop. I don't bother with taking off the glass

Any reason why you wet shrunk instead of dry ? Just preference?
@blackoutkustomz55037 ай бұрын
That's how I was train to wet shrink on all boats but thinking about it I've never dry shrunk a curve glass like this boat. I'm gonna try dry shrink next time and see how it goes.

Trying to tint my wakeboat. I thought it would be relatively easy....boy was I wrong. With how much tint I've crumbled up.....would have been cheaper to take it somewhere.

Alot of people tell me tint is easy unil they try it. It takes time and lot of practice

I’m currently removing my tint on my boat as it’s been flaking on the inside. Not the tint part but the clear layer on top. What’s a good tint brand/model to be exposed to elements?
@blackoutkustomz55032 жыл бұрын
Usually when its flaking off it's because it's been on There for a long time. Eventually any brand could do that. But if you want longevity than put a ceramic tint. Look into express window films,automotive cr classic ceramic
