That’s the way I learned how to do those back windows, but I found that if you bounced the upper half of the window and wet the bottom half, you can pull all the fingers towards the top and smooth out the bottom, all you have to do is, shrink the top. I learned the technique doing Porsche targa back windows. 25 years of mistakes and oh ha moment have really made me appreciate someone learning new shortcuts and techniques 👍

That’s a grind. Good on you, every shop I take my third gen to they shy away - they only want to do machine cuts, nothing by hand and no forming.

Yes alot of shops like that they turn away olders cars as it requires extra time and prepping but I don't mind it

I've always bounced back and forth between shrink the bottom or not. I would over shrink then struggle w the install. No creases

Is it easier to shrink with water or the dry sheet method?
@blackoutkustomz55032 жыл бұрын
With water would be easier

You did not remove the original tint?
@blackoutkustomz5503 Жыл бұрын
No, it was in good condition so I just tinted over it. He had 5% limo tint and he wanted it darker so I put another layer of 5% lol

You don't need to shrink the bottom, only the top part ,

Yes I know. I have another video tinting this car with out shrink at the bottom. For this video I wanted to show the shrink method for people struggling with the bottom part
