Can't go on with this, I do not understand why these people are having the music louder than their voice or why they put music in such a video in the first place. If you do so, do it quietly, in the very background. A complete failure of modern times which is very present all over the place

Great list. All of these albums are classics. When Aja came out, that's the one you heard in the stereo stores all the time. Also, the big hits in America were: "Fast Car" from Tracy Chapman, Dire Straits "Money for Nothing," which had a killer video in the early days of MTV, "Call Me Al," from Graceland.

Hi enjoyed your video very much. I have a few of the albums you show. Including Kind of Blue, have two copies one of which is on Columbia 6 spot label. I never play that because it’s so beautiful. I use the other copy I have. As I say I enjoyed the video and have subscribed to your channel.

I wouldn't say that Vertigo, Deram, Harvest etc were Prog labels particularly. I would say more like "album bands". All of those labels released albums by non-prog artists (Vertigo - Ian Matthews, Alex Harvey Band, Fairfield Parlour, Sabbath, Patto) (Harvest - Kevin Ayers, Kayak, Be Bop Deluxe, Edgar Broughton, Pete Brown)......and so on. All great labels with amazing catalogues.

Around the time that you uploaded this video, I had heard a jazz album and was curious about learning a little bit about jazz so I search for jazz albums for beginners or something to that effect. Your video was the first one that I remember watching,, so I streamed just about all of those albums, and really enjoyed the music, so much so that right now I own nearly 300 jazz LPs- most all of them are from the 50s and 60s with a couple of exceptions. I really love that era. And by watching your video and streaming all of these, I learned that I cannot stand guitar jazz L O L, (or any jazz that has the Hammond B3 organ). I have discovered so many albums over the past few years, but it all started with recommendations you suggested. At the beginning I didn’t even have a stereo, so I was streaming music on my phone and listening with head phones…. a few months later, I bought a pretty good stereo and a turntable, and started buying the albums. I’m so glad I did because it’s been really fun and I am enjoying vinyl again like I did in the late 60s and 70s.

Bro, you mentioned all the epic albums, and saying that you can find them for a couple of euros. Maybe thats true, but these albums are all 20+ dollars australian over here. I find it hard to believe the price comparison.

Hey man ! Sorry for very late and WAY to long comment , but I’ll have to share this. I’m born 1965 , and now it is June 2023. Back in March this year , I was listening to the 1997 David Holmes album - ”Let’s get killed” on Spotify. Especially the song ”Don’t die just yet” , which was an automatic recommendation when a playlist ended. There was something very familiar with the song. I couldn’t quite sort it out. Then I did some research and ; Hey Presto ! It was sampled from Serge Gainsbourg - Histoire de melody Nelson. I recognized the cover immediately. My aunt played this all the time in -71 when I was 6 years old and she was babysitting me. She’s 11 years older than me , so she was 17 at the time. I’ve played it on Spotify many times for three months now , and I’m currently awaiting a 2021 reissue , still in shrinkwrap. I just got to have it. As a sidenote , she also familiarized me with Beatles and Janis. Also ; her brother , my uncle , who are 2 years younger than her , introduced me to Zeppelin , Cream , Hendrix , Sabbath , Doors , Pink Floyd , Bowie , Stones and Deep purple when we were at sunday dinners at granny’s and gramp’s , where they , naturally , still lived back then. End of my yapping. I’ll let myself out.
