I just picked up the sheet music for his version. What a beautiful arrangement. It has a timeless quality to it and I feel fortunate to have the chance to learn and share it.

Tommy your one of if not the GOAT but as a teacher nuh forget it!
I bet Shubb appreciates Tommy's shout-out. One nice thing about the Shubb capo is a tension adjuster that can be set looser so it doesn't pull the strings so sharp. I use Shubb partial capos because they have the lowest profile with the least parts protruding so I can jump down and play the non-capo’d strings between the capo and the nut then jump back above with the least interference. Attach a partial capo at the 2nd or 4th fret and it will change your world. Anyone using capos regularly will notice the rubber sleeve eventually starts slipping. Remove the rubber sleeve then use a hacksaw to cut shallow slots across the bar every 1/8" above and below where it presses the strings then push the rubber piece back on. I did that about six months ago and haven't had that problem since.

Wow...he articulated everything I've ever felt about being onstage. I thought there was something wrong with me for feeling like that. Seems I'm not alone in feeling that way when performing. ❤

I never use the word: Best as it pertains to musicians - but Tommy Emmanuel is among the Greatest Guitar Players on the planet. ( nice, humble guy too ). Love him.

Over-rated guitarists. Not very good improvisionists. Tommy is good on his thing but let him imprvise and solo he is gone, this other peppino is just so bad. There are a tonne of new talented players out there that just blows these old fellas away, like Mike Dawes, Calum Graham, Don Ross, Andy Mckee. Ok I have respect for the Australian.

When you change a tuning *completely* like that, between two songs - it's gonna take a while for the strings to "set" properly. You will inevitable have to do a few corrections later on. Quite possible even *while playing* the next song! Every guitarist who has ever worked with multiple tunings on the same guitar in a concert situation FEARS those moments. I *love* how these necessary adjustments didn't become a nuisance *at all* for Tommy and Peppino. They didn't even break for a second! They just took it in stride with absolute professionalism. In fact, "the tuning thing" actually ended up *adding* a spontaneous extra touch of *fun* and some rare almost breathlessly *sensitive* moments to the show. It was even *better* for it! These guys really are TRUE musicians and TRUE artists. Everything becomes art in their hands. _Even the correction of a slightly out of tune string..._ Both guitar players reading and following the other one's mind completely. Almost becoming one. In harmony. So beautiful. I believe they call it *MUSIC* ...

So funny how one says that the Shub is the baddest capo and another says Shub is probably the best, just figure it out for yourself and play the capo of your liking.
