my cat Mr kitten died two weeks ago from sepsis, I knew that day he was gunna die, I could see it in his eyes, and I left anyway. He died only hours later, I cant believe I left em that day, ill never forgive myself. Sorry for your loss John, im glad you were able to help Dillon be comfortable in his last moments.

I loved seeing Mr. Dillon puttering back and forth behind you while you discussed vacuum tubes or other sober topics. We have always had cats and understand how much you will miss him, and we will too. You also remind us to support small local veterinarian practices. Many large practices are now owned by private equity and have become ridiculously expensive. Think you will do a super-regenerative radio project? I've always been fascinated by them.

I built my Star Roamer in 1967 and it was a lot of fun. Would adjust the sensitivity control to "almost" oscillate (via the regen feedback) for a BFO and listen to SSB. Upgraded to an Allied A2515 a couple of years later. Still have them both, but the Star Roamer is in storage because I could not find a replacement for the 3 section electrolytic (yet). Didn't want to use discrete caps. I was an avid SWL for years, became an electronics engineer and an extra class ham. Also have a lot of vintage test equipment. Lots of memories. Now use SDR for SWL.

My mom had Psoriasis and I was very aware of how self-conscious she was. It was heartbreaking when kids would point and laugh. She tried to keep things covered up but that didn't always work.
