In my last two street fights, I used a push kick and won them both. They didn't expect it, and by the time it had landed, I moved in with jab and right cross. Over. They do work. Great for keeping distance too..

Story time. Back when I was in basic training, there was a guy in my class who was basically a younger Jean Claude Van Dam, but also a great musician. Guy's name was Adrian. One night we were all out at the pubs, just having a good time. Some behemoth biker dude took a dislike to Adrian, and came along and pushed him up against a wall. This guy had at least six inches of height on Adrian, and at least a hundred pounds of mass. Beard, leather and denim, huge rings on every finger, tattoos everywhere, the usual stuff. For whatever reason, he was planning on pounding Adrian through the wall, and was pulling back a massive fist to do just that. Before the punch lands, Adrian's leg shoots up between them, right into the guy's chin, and knocks him out cold. The biker dude fell like a tree.

I’m a grappler and not much on striking so I don’t know much on this topic but, that straight down the middle front kick looks like it would work very well and not need much training to pull off. Let me know if I’m wrong.

Teep kick with boots on it just not fair. If you train it , i can come as fast as a jab, you are also used to people running or lunging at you, you can do a retreating teep if you need more space and it does fucking hurt like Hell if you're not conditioned for it.

Good lesson on the darcem but I've been a blackbelt since 2011, started training in 1993, and i rolled with Rodolpho Viera, as well as many other world champions, one ranked # 11 in the world who taught exclusively black belts in Abu Dhabi. It's a good choke for people who don't understand to just hip out or simply expect it. The gi version is, once in, impossible to defend though. My point is always use the guillotine from side control or north south instead of the falling darce, which is a thing. or the darce, period. Anyone good will just hip escape and probably triangle you. Good vid, though. on the steet this will work against any non purple belt.

In bruce lees art we use the push kick. But we also use the oblique kick to the knee and and foot jab to the knee. Bruce lee did not fight fair. We aim to not fight and end it in ten seconds or less.

What people never explain is what you're actually doing with the arm bar. Are you lifting your hips on the joint of the elbow? If so, can't people just be flexible enough to not be bothered?. Or are you pulling the arm? Because my brother does that all the time, and it doesn't hurt. Hes just streatching my arm and it even feels better after lol. OR, are you trying to twist the shoulder? Im trying to understand to teach my lil bro. We are both decent at the muay thai like style. But we are skinny, and people try to fight us that are 170+. If we don't KO them fast. They take us down and we can't get up sometimes. Im terminal, and want my bros to be able to defend themselves before the sicknesses takes me enebidably.
