One thing I don't like about CWIC is that at some point you can pretty much just steamroll your opponent. This is perfectly shown in your video about East Germany where you defeated the entire NATO and in this video where you defeated the entire Warsaw Pact. This is probably due to the fact that, as you mentioned, countries in this mod don't properly handle their division recruitment. I mention it, because in my opinion the most satisfying campaigns to watch are those were the player overcomes the various difficulties during the playthrough, or those that have a very good narration or story behind them.

The AI in this mod has issues with units. They either never supply them with arms by hoarding money they never spend. Never build any and just sit around basically only exisiting on the map. Or are so far outdated at some point compared to your units as you mentioned,that fighting them becomes trivial. I noticed this while playing as Egypt,the only actual fighting i ever had was againat Israel,the UK and France during the Suez Crisis and that was because at that point in game,Egypt's military would still be quite weak and underequipped compared to the three other countries involved because they don't have the funds or factories to supply them. After i formed the UAR and had more money and factories than i ever needed,fighting a war with anyone aside from the two big factions becomes a complete bore. I had to artifically beef up Iran's troop numbers just to have an actual fun experience fighting them and not just have the war end in 2 weeks with barely anything happening. Only countries that have OOB's preloaded that give them military units are an actual military challenege

I've done this too! honestly a really funny mod. Economy is very different in this game and you need much more civs to skyrocket economy but once you've got a lot of civs building for you which doesn't take too long when you consider that you play many years and have only 10% consumer goods, nothing can stop you, you will have more mils than most countries. Eventualy

TL;DR I wonder if you could do named transitions based on events and wars as opposed to just based on year. maybe you could also have a more minor "chapter beginning" that isn't as imposing for some of them. Also, I think you should use youtube's integrated chapter system. I love your videos. I love your channel bro. it's like whenever I see you posted a video I'm instantly like "I gotta watch this" and they're always amazing. you're definitely one of my favorite hoi4 youtubers. obviously the whole year transition thing you do is unique too and I actually have a suggestion for it if you don't mind reading it. I wonder if you could do a video where you separate it like that for major wars and events and have names for the different sections other than just the year. I'm not sure if that'd work well but you probably know best. like I know you often group the less eventful years and split the more eventful ones, but I think it'd be interesting to divide them by event. or maybe you could do a hybrid, like if you're playing as a Russian nation in TNO you could have a specially named and dated transition for the war against Germany (if you go that far,) but have the campaign prior to the war with Germany be separated by year. or maybe you could have like the start of the war be a transition, then maybe your pushed back at the beginning and you do another when you start holding, and maybe one when you do a counter-offensive. that would probably be alot of transitions though. I wonder if you could have a version of the transition that's less intrusive, like maybe you put the name of the "chapter" in the top-left but not the whole blur and music. to be clear i don't think the "chapter" name needs to be visible throughout the whole chapter, but instead i think it only needs to be there at the beginning of the "chapter." I guess if you want you could have the year visible always if you think that'd be best, that's just not what I'm suggesting. almost like the way many video essay youtubers i watch site sources by putting a URL/ book citation in the corner or when people put the current day in the corner of 100 days of "x" game/challenge videos. I would understand if you see it as too much unnecessary work though to think of a bunch of "titles" for the "chapters" though. I think it might allow for a little extra creativity and personality for you to name it like that too. but I'm not sure how the editing process is for you, like weather you enjoy it and feel creative or if it is just work to you. also i don't mean to imply your videos are lacking creativity or personality, in fact i think the abundance of them are part of why I enjoy your videos so much. also, I'm not sure if you maybe did this at one point, but i think you should integrate the chapter system into youtube's chapter system. that would look sleek and "modern" but to be honest I don't think anyone will actually be using the chapter timestamps cuz I have to imagine most people watch the whole video or start but don't finish. like I don't imagine people are skipping the the "important chapters" or skipping to the war. but I might be wrong and you have the actual statistics on what parts people are watching. also I made sure to skim through some older videos as well as new ones to see if you've ever done something like this but it seems like it's just been by years so far. ofc if you did do this and it didn't work well you can correct me though. I also personally don't watch the shorts, so maybe something different is happening there. as I understand it, shorts are really good for growing a channel and also for ad revenue (no judgement, everybody needs money.) I just avoid them cuz I try to avoid getting used to really short form content cuz attention span and stuff. also I don't want the brain rot that's present on youtube shorts. also i haven't watched the whole of this video as I'm writing this so maybe I'm off in some ways. I am gonna wait till I'm done with the video though to post this comment just in case I got something wrong. I hope you enjoy the advice btw and you obviously don't have to do it if you don't think it would work well. I'm also not a content creator and I haven't edited much so I'm not sure if it would. also I'm not sure if you will get this comment and I've written alot so I'm probably gonna post it 1 more time if you don't respond. of course if you don't have time there is no need to respond. Nah there are alt hist paths for plenty of nations. America can invade Syria, Egypt, North korea and China in the first few years. The soviet union can invade greece, turkey, South Korea and yugoslavia in the first few years. Both Greeces can invade turkey. Turkey can invade the UAR. Afghanistan can invade pakistan. Etc

Yeah the devs of the mod are touchy about any alt history paths so theres not a lot of fun and different paths. I’ve tried to suggest they add paths for axis countries to try and go back to being militant/fascist, and also colonial powers trying to fight and hold/reclaim there colonies. I know the first idea seems really far out there in it being possible, but nothing is impossible. The colonial stuff makes sense anyways, France was resisting giving up their colonies and Church Hill wanted to maintain the empire as well. The argument that they’re infeasible but Stalin living and staying leader after a stroke isn’t, is insane.
