1: buy a set of injectors and plug them in…that’s it. 2:stock fuel injectors have plenty of flow rate. Just do a flash tune and you don’t even need to change them (unless you’re making several hundred more horsepower than stock) a tuner will cost you about as much as a new high flow carb and the tuner normally comes with free tunes or pre-tuned for your bike for free. Takes like 5 mins. Don’t even get me started on balancing several carbs together. EFI just does it. 3: also just unhook the line and let the pump continuously “prime” to drain the tank straight from the fuel pump. It will keep going forever since it will only stop priming with a certain amount of pressure. With an open hose there will be no pressure and it’ll just drain your tank. 4: you can also push start an efi bike with a dead battery…and most modern carbureted bikes don’t even have kickstarters…tf was that one? Really stretching for that one.

Advice below is good. Tickover issues must be carb related. It struck me that $80 is very cheap for a new carb. Over here in the UK a new AMAL will be at least £200. Is it a reputable branded carb? or a cheap Chinese rip off?
@Cyclingwithgasoline11 күн бұрын
It was a stock OEM Indian carb, but the jets were for a newer AMAL carb, so they just aren't seating right (particularly the main jet). So, I just got an AMAL carb for it. Just need to finally put it on and get this thing back on the road for good.

Maybe route that breather tube so that it points at the rear chain and gives it a bit of lube?
@Cyclingwithgasoline11 күн бұрын
I've never been a real fan of that. Makes more of a mess than it's worth. Better to just keep the chain properly lubed. Also, that tube needs a one way valve. I think it's been sucking in air and causing problems.

I don’t know how you got on after your last video on the 500 Bullet. But here’s some help. The petcock seals are a rubber disc or cork bits set in rubber. If the material is not compatible with the fuel (unleaded?) then it can breakup and bits will randomly block and then open the fuel ways. Test by taking the pipe off the carb and open the tap to flow into a container. You need about 200ml/minute. Maybe all you have is a trickle. The loss of compression is worrying. Do you have adequate scavenge flow to the rockers? Check for that by loosening one of the feed pipes and the engine kicked over with plug out (you could do that running but that’ll make a mess). I have 2 of these bullets, one is indian and few years older than yours. That one has given me years of hassles but is coming right. You are so right, you have to fight it but what a joy when it runs. Cheers, ChrisD

As long as nobody lies and says "efi isnt resistant to EMP", Im fine with listening to anything. For folks who don't know... EMP effects things based on the length/thickness of wires. Like an antenna. You cellphone, car, radio, desktop PC, gaming console... as long as they aren't plugged into the grid... theyre literally immune to EMP. You need MILES of thick cables before a device even CAN be effected by EMP. But that won't stop internet apocalyptards from inserting their nonsensical bs into any conversation about analogue vs electrical.

@@elithegreat6463 Yes, there are definitely heavy handed amateurs out there. I’ve seen it first hand. I did explain that it’s magnesium and care needs to be taken. Snug, but NOT too tight and I demonstrated. I find torque specs can be a double edged sword at times with them being listed higher than necessary and even potentially dangerous as far as damaging the pan, threads, etc. Hopefully my demo is adequate and I’m always happy to answer questions from viewers. AND, I can’t even find a reliable torque spec for it. The best I can run down is 20Nm for the drain plug, but I’ve seen it listed as high as 40Nm - again, these discrepancies can do more harm than good. Oh, and I’ll add that the V4 is more fun than the Rocket 3 for sure. So many fallicies here. Changing carb jetting on a multi-carb bike is neither cheap or particularly easy. And God help you if you mess up the settings or your jets are a tiny bit out of spec because you are going to be buying a synchronizer. I can drain the tank on my injected bike in exactly the same way that I can on my carburated bike. And finally, you do have a point about the kickstarter.
