Reggie thank you for your V1 review. My xt5 with an R2 transmitter will not let me send a Manual off camera flash setting to my speedlight. It will for an AD200. I tried your ttl lock setting on a function button but it still wants to send ttl input. I have been able to use the speed lights in slave mode using my transmitter, an ad200 & speedlight in slave mode. but I only want a fill light not more than one flash. I have a Zoom Li-on X R2 TTL speedlight & Zoom Li-ON X R2 speedlight. They flash on camera shoe & in slave mode off camera. My camera ttl-lock has 2 choices, lock with last flash & lock with metering flash. Neither choice works to send manual setting input it stays in ttl & will not flash. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.😊

Fuji has a physical problem with their cameras….and no firmware is going to make it wow. Of all the major brands they have the least amount of cross type sensors, even though they tried, at best, it won’t better than the original factory firmware. So unfortunately we will have to wait till next iteration of the cameras before we get any substantial improvements.

Reggie- I was shooting B&W candid photos of a couple the other day. They were seated in front of me, but on slightly different planes or distances from me. Some of the images were sharp for one individual (the one I focused on?), but the other was softer. I shot some of the images at f54.6. Is this a dof issue or a focus issue? What settings would you use to get both subjects. This is not unlike a wedding shoot with different distances. Thanks! Always enjoy your videos! Geoff

Really great video, thanks for that! What I would like to add is always take your camera with you, if possible. The only way of getting better and develop an eye for details, compositions etc is by training those skills. Even if you think you will never use your camera today, just take it with you:)

It’s not a variable nd. And your argument can go both ways to be quite honest. It all depends on what people want

This is the only lens I have on my X-H2S. I’m caught in two minds about a new lens. I seem to be booked more for portrait work, branding shoots, and event work-so birthday parties, meet & greets, charity events, family shoots, and business portraits. Being someone who shoots weddings, would you recommend a closer focal length like the 33, or 50, to compliment the 13? Or would you recommend the 18mm which I haven’t used but I just think it might be a better wide angle lens in the long run. I’m used to shooting wide, I’m completely comfortable with it now, so I’d be happy to continue with the 18mm. But I wanted your opinion of what I’d be missing by sticking with a 13mm and 18mm vs the 50mm or 56mm or even the 33mm?

The biggest thing my wife and I have have learned running our online type of business, if the person asks too many questions and seems unsure they are more than likely are wasting your time and effort. These people usually do not get you a sale, they love the idea of purchasing the item whether it be a photo, digital art, furniture.

Not that I condone Fujifilm’s abysmal supply chain and camera + lens inventory situation but I don’t think people realize how little the IMAGING division contributes to Fujifilm’s income. Instax alone is almost double the income of Fujifilm X-Series and GFX sales combined. The total IMAGING division combined doesn’t even warrant a number in their capital expenditure for a full year graph charts. The HEALTHCARE division is the bulk of their income. Fujifilm views their photography and imaging division, a legacy product. It’s there because it’s a part of their history not as a major growth or profit engine. Which is why I don’t think we’ll ever see a big increase in manufacturing capacity or R&D. Fujifilm cameras are like a more popular and successful Ricoh. As long as they aren’t losing the company money, IMAGING is left to do their thing within a set budget but their priority within the company for resources and agenda are back of the bus.

Is it just me or do all of the Fujifilm camera photos look way nicer.. I know they have the same sensor and megapixels but after hours of research and looking at sample photos the Fuji photos look so much better on average. Sometimes the Ricoh pictures I see look like something an iPhone could take. My theory is just that I think the Fuji cameras with the wider variety of film simulations are way easier to pick up out of the box and get a nice picture. The Ricoh I’m guessing would take more post editing to get as nice of a look and can’t rely on the film simulations as much. I really want the pocket-ability of the Ricoh but as someone who’s not an avid photographer, I’d rather do less to get a nice image than have to edit my photos to get the same look.
@Reggiebphoto13 күн бұрын
It’s preference, I feel the opposite. I prefer the Ricoh JPEGs over the fujifilm. Just comes down to the recipe and how skilled the photographer is at using it
