Never seen a basketball player do all the things Bird does. It's amazing. Jordan did one thing great. How can Bird not be the greatest???

I went to the Celtics game vs Sonics earlier that year in Feb '86, the season Boston won the title. Bird had a strong triple-double in that one (31-15-11)! Walton a double-double. Wedman started for McHale that night, but I got to see him play LIVE in the 1987 NBA All-Star Game. And later in the 80's vs Seattle

Look at older games, before the three point shot became an institution, those teams back then, were still putting out scores that match or are better than today's leagues scores, plus there was more physical play. They knew how to play the game!!

Goes to show that winning at the higehst level is not juat about athleticism. It's about intelligence and execution as well. You don't see teams like this any more.

Bill Walton said it best after the first round sweep of the Bulls when MJ had his coming out party.. "Great player. I'm glad I'm on the Boston Celtics.." One of the three greatest teams of all time. Pure basketball bliss. R.I.P. Mr Walton, and thanks for the memories...

I met Bobby Orr when he was a scout for the Ontario Hockey League. This was the early 2000s in Barrie Ontario in the press box. What struck me was his angelic aura. Quite a fantastic presence and humble demeanour to this man.

Guessing this was the first time they matched up at BG after the Lakers had beaten them in 85. I’m a Laker fan but for sure this was a scary good version of the Celtics. They are really moving the ball well here, every possession they seem to find the open man. GOAT teams I put this team in the list along with 82 sixers, 87 Lakers, 96 bulls, 01 Lakers, and 2017 Warriors

Throw it down big man! Bill of course said that often. Best college game ever? Took great shots. Battled for position. Hypnotized them once to score once uncontested. Rip
