The “banter” @1:10:48 is about an audience member that “managed” to leap onto the stage during “Waiting For A Miracle” (irony). The ushers were being super strict about dancing in the aisles, being in the aisle, checking tickets for seating the previous night & this night as well. I was sitting maybe 10th row stage right couple seats in from the aisle. From behind this person is climbing through and over the seats, trying to stay low. When this happened next us, my friend & I were like wtf ? Not to long after that he’s up on the stage in front of Jackie & Gloria & we’re both - “that’s the seat climber” ! He strolls over to Garcia and starts talking. Garcia keeps playing & takes a step back. Another step & Garcia keeps playing. My friend & are like “ how long before Garcia is back to his gear ?” Out comes Parrish & someone else(memory issue - something in the air). They sandwich him & he starts becoming a little more animated (audience is seeing his back). He manages to toss what looks like maybe a hacky sack size package at Garcia as he’s being “escorted” off the stage. Garcia takes another step back still playing as the package hits his shoulder and falls to the stage. And as you can hear the band keeps playing through out. The “package” remained on stage. I saw a number of “guests” manage to get on stage with GD don’t remember many making onto stage with Garcia’s other outfits. This night stands out in my memory , due to Garcia addressing the moment( & of course being in the presence of JGB).The only special guest I remember (due to something in the air) from the weekend is the “seat climber” during “Waiting For A Miracle” - irony . & yes Warfield Theatre was being remodeled - seats removed from the floor. A buddy was in on the remodel & gave seat A1 - front row. Hope I haven’t taken too much of y’all’s time. ✌🏼

Drove up to new haven from nyc on 11/25. About 2 hrs north. Hustled up 2 tickets which were on the floor about 20th row. We were stoked. Ate our ' chicklettes ' right before Weir came out and announced no show! I believe everything was set up and ready to go, but no show! It was a long long long crazy night driving back to nyc! We were bummed out bad.
