Great - have been waiting for your updated look at the X1 Pro. I currently use a Neo & actually have become quite fond of it - but you do have to carefully pick and choose when its deployed, since any wind seems to really knock it about: Thats not really a criticism, as its only a tiny little thing! The X1 looks as though it has a few more qualities of the DJI Mini2 (which Im looking to update this year), mixed with superior following abilities that Neo/X1 drones have - and I have to say Im glad to see HoverAir seem to be picking up on the fact that cyclists can be one of the main users. The close following through wooded areas was impressive - and we have quite a bit of that down here in the south west. Thanks again - very useful👍

It is an interesting topic. I had a recollection that Eunuchs have a much longer life expectancy than un-castrated males, which is completely at odds with the suggestion that it is healthy to raise your testosterone level.

Whatever you feel about TRT, this is the best explanation I've heard about the relationship between hormones, exercise, diet and men's health. I'm a fit guy in his 60s who pays attention these things and I didn't understand before. She may be right or wrong about TRT but most medical professionals are 20 years out of date on this stuff. It reminds me of what women have been going through with HRT until the last few years - now, so many benefit from it, with personalised dosages and balanced with lifestyle changes. As men maybe it will be that way for us one day. In the meantime I'm glad of this information.

This filter is a different kind from the one that a lot of people go to. You should test a sawyer squeeze filter which is probably the most popular, at least here in the US. I don't know what's the most popular over there. I have been researching water filters lately and realized that a lot of the popular ones only filter out bacteria and protozoa but not viruses and chemicals. But the filter you decided to test it's supposed to filter out all of it. I say this because you said a lot of people were getting sick. It's probably because they were using a filter that focuses on filtering out bacteria and protozoa and not all the other stuff
@alwaysanotheradventure2 күн бұрын
That's exactly why I chose that filter - because it claims to withdraw viruses. Since there are SO many filters, rather than me try to test every single one in existence, much better to simply buy one of these gadgets and test your own.

My understanding is that one has to really clean the tube with alcohol, and keep absolutely all dirt and oils (even the little bit of skin oil that washed hands carry) off the sticky side of the patch, and off the cleaned area. ANY dirt or oil will spoil it. That of course makes these tubes hard(er) to use out in the wild, but since they are so light, one can carry two spares. Thus further enriching the tube maker. Win-win. LOL. Oh, and one has to keep the inside of the tire 100.00% clean -- even the tiniest debris can wear a hole in the tube, according to the reviews I have read of TPU tubes. I haven't received my TPU tubes yet, so I can't confirm.

There isn't much info about Sally Walker's background & education. Per IG, she is a physiotherapist, but not an endocrinologist. Will stay tuned for your findings. I believe in the health benefits of bioidentical HRT but feel ambivalent about all the new products* for aging women, and yes men. Maybe just because they're new? Something about it seems iffy. Keep asking questions, please. *Products like Biote, Alloy, Blokes, Midi, and who knows how many others. Before, one would go to a medical doctor, get examined to make sure BHRT was ok to take, and then get a prescription. Now seems like one goes directly to a company that employs doctors that will offer the product on the sole basis of blood test.

A better indicator as to whether or not one might have a testosterone deficiency is getting a DEXA scan. Low-T often results in osteopenia, even if someone is getting plenty of impact exercise. In that case, low T levels fall below normal decline due to aging and may indicate hypogonadism.

While acknowledging that you say that this is a starting point for further research - I didn't hear anything that suggested that Sally was qualified to advise or talk about this, nor could I find anything online about her other than promotion for her clinics and supplements. Is she a medically qualified scientific researcher with a history of studying hormones? Has she analysed the current body of research - it didn't seem like it - of course healthy people have been studied and typical levels of hormones have been measured by many researchers. This all sounded like speculation or 'wellness' rather than science. Many factors can affect hormone levels, mood and performance (sexual or athletic) including exercise and fitness, relationships and other general health factors. and the risks of messing with hormones along with unintended consequences are well known. The idea of male menopause or hormone replacement for men is a cyclical topic - I really like your channel and your videos - but this one made me uncomfortable and seems to be straying into woo woo territory...
@alwaysanotheradventure5 күн бұрын
She styles herself as a hormone expert in her practice and you're right, I didn't go through, step by step, her qualifications. She has some - she went through them at the start of her talk which I didn't record - but she's not a doctor and disagrees with many who are. I completely understand why you'd distrust her viewpoint. It's partly why I wouldn't take any further steps myself without seeking advice from a medical professional I trust.

@@alwaysanotheradventure. It’s worth a discussion. There are so many men taking it, it would be naive to assume none are racing. WADA is very clear on testosterone supplements, it’s doping. This isnt a area I really know that much about - but its clear that it IS going to be a factor in the fitness plans of chaps aged 60 or older. As with all things hormonal, its tremendously complex & not something to be tinkered with lightly - there are so many complicating factors, it makes your head spin (have a read of the NHS document attached to see what I mean!). Having said all that, Im glad youve posted this video Simon - we may well be the guinea pig generation for this (as well as for the overall effects of being so much more active for so much longer than our predecessors). Its each individuals choice at the end of the day - but I do think this is a classic example where ‘ a little knowledge is a dangerous thing’ - it will be very interesting to read properly controlled scientific research into the topic. I was reading only last week about how an enzyme inhibiting drug originally used to control prostate issues was found to inhibit hair loss - leading to people buying it off the internet in their desperation to halt their encroaching male pattern baldness - with the inevitable horror stories of unpredicted side effects that were unfortunately irreversable… we mess with hormones at our peril! www.nbt.nhs.uk/sites/default/files/document/Biochemical%20Investigation%20of%20Suspected%20Endocrine%20Problems%20in%20Males_1.pdf

Good video thank you. How well do you think it would cope with take off AND landing (grabbing it) while on a wall climbing (so not on the ground)? Assuming no crazy wind, just wondering if the drone would happily fly close to the rock where the climber is or if it would consider that dangerous and not do it?
@alwaysanotheradventure6 күн бұрын
I’ve never wall climbed but done plenty trad routes. In some ways it’s a great drone for what you want as you can grab it out of the sky with no risk to your fingers. But… Flying automatic - ie following a climber with no controller - might work, but when you want it to come back to land, you sometimes have to step forward as it lands short. That wouldn’t work on a wall! Perhaps best would be to fly manual (either App or Joystick) while on a belay, then you can get it close and grab it when done. However - and this is the big one - there’s a hard 120m limit on drone flights in the UK (and US I think). That’s above the ground directly below IT. So you can fly it on the top of a mountain, but technically, if you go over the edge of a cliff, you could be more than 120m above the ground. I don’t know whether the X1 Pro has anything built in to force it to adhere to this rule. X1 Pro has a host of new features added this year 2025 through firmware and I’ll have a video on these next Sunday, but I haven’t answered your question in it. It’s something I’ll work on though…

I have some experience with this. I have been taking testosterone for several years now by prescription. I had an operation for a pituitary tumour in 2007 due to an excess of prolactine produced and not used. TRT has helped stabilize my condition along with a drug to block production of prolactine. My first specialist was reluctant to start TRT since it might halt natural production. But the new doctor did and it has helped. Body chemistry is a tricky thing and your body may only accept or react to a certain level then ignore the rest. I have had to increase the frequency of dosage to maintain the effect. I know a person, older than I, who has the same condition as me. He was able to have his urologist test and treat with the blocker meds and taper off them. With regular testing taking the meds when necessary. In my case it was many years later along this journey that I was aware of this condition because of vision loss. For healthy or normal people to take hormones without a specialist there are risks. But this is part of the sell to aging boomers that 70 is the new 40. You can have it all longer...a familiar tune from pharma companies looking to make even more money.

I’m quit listening when she kept stating that we need studies of normal testosterone levels. There are many studies and charts of normal levels. Also, it is dangerous for people to ignore other negative factors of testosterone replacement. That’s where we need studies. Those with certain prostate cancers need to avoid this therapy. Those with certain heart conditions may be harmed. The aging process is complex and interfering with the normal process can have unknown effects.
@ELLISRUGER87 күн бұрын
Isn't aging going to kill you anyway. You have listed the possible negatives (and they exist) but negated the positives. Everything has side effects, even bread. The more studies they do the more beneficial the use of testosterone is for elderly males. If natural loss of testosterone due to ageing reduces the quality of your life and replacing it to a somewhat unnatural level for your age improves the symptoms of aging you can pay your money and make your choice. You may die earlier and you may live longer🤷♂What is for sure you will have more of a bounce in your step when you are here.

I've lost weight steadily since age 50 which when you get to the bottom of the body mass chart is not healthy. People with some fat mass and more muscle mass are healthier than those with too much or too little of each. All about contaxt.
@ELLISRUGER87 күн бұрын
I think you right. I've started on a replacement regime, and tried to get my testosterone-treated and tested by my doctor, he said he would, but when I read my bloods he hadn't actually tested that, I'm 61, and mentioned I had lost erections halfway through, but not interested told me to "drink more water". So gone on it myself, 175mg a week injecting every 3 days (not 175mg at a time its split to average that over 3 weeks). After 12 weeks I feel fantastic, starting back doing weights, eating clean, lost a stone in weight, and put on muscle, I now wake up with an erection every morning. I doubt I was clinically that low for a 61-year-old man, however, I can honestly say I feel 20 years younger. I did my research and have gone "off piste". I will still get blood done for PSA etc with doc (in UK) but will say nothing about what I'm doing. I check my blood pressure daily, its gone down. I wouldn't advise anyone to go my route but there you go, costs me peanuts. Ive never taken any steroids or anything performance-enhancing before. At this level I'm probably at the higher end of TRT, does it enhance performance, yes it does. It doesn't work overnight and takes time, last two weeks the benefits have been really worth it. I've had no side effects except some testicular shrinkage which doesn't make any difference to me.
