🙏🏼❤️Thank you for sharing. I read the book several years ago and could not find a person who has read it to discuss and process the emotional content. Like you, I was walking around thinking about Jude and Willem and could not seem to exit their fictional world. I also had a hard time finding another book to read. Recently, a friend just finished it and we’re going to discuss the book over tea/ coffee. I found myself returning to the world that Hanya created and watched several of her interviews. KZbin brought me to you and I’m glad. I’m envious that you got to see the stage version (I live in the USA). I always like to read the book first before its adaptation to other media and look forward to watching your reaction.

I was on Effexor for 20 years. Withdrew from that in 8 months. It was brutal. Dr put me on Sertraline. I can say it was the worst, scary weeks of my life! I had every side effect on the label including suicidal ideation. Nearly called psyche ward but I was too scared to do that. The dark intrusive thoughts in my brain along with the massive headaches were terrifying. Never, ever again!!! People have knocked themselves in the first weeks of this drug. Not for everyone. Drs should monitor people on this drug. Very dangerous for some. An aquantace of mine, 20 year old son unalived himself 8 years ago , 2 weeks into it.. I now understand what he went through. Sorry for the doom and gloom but these are facts. He isnt the only one. Ive done my research.

Great to hear your experience Rishi, I have been prescribed Sertraline for health anxiety and depression and am combining it with counselling. This is my 1st week on the medication and the main side effects I’m experience are nausea (ginger tea helps), headaches, tiredness and feeling abit spaced out but on the positive side my mood has improved, and my behaviours are changing such as constantly googling symptoms, checking my body etc! I was sceptical at first but glad I have started this. Anybody thinking of trying it I would say go for it, ride out any side effects and be strong there is light at the end of the dark tunnel 🙏🙏🏼

Your video is very helpful and you are a chill humble guy. I have PTSD after surviving a corrupt boot camp and domestic violence. I was prescribed zoloft but very reluctant and nervous to embark on the journey of SSRI’s. I can tell by the way you carry yourself it’s benefited you and reduced your anxiety but in your eyes you look medicated and that’s what I worry about is being a zombie from this and losing pieces of my personality. SSRI’s I tried plenty before and had nothing but bad experiences so fingers crossed this works out and hopefully this nausea isn’t that bad, it’s hard to go thru the 4-6 weeks of dreadful side effects to get to the full effect. This is why I preferred benzos like Klonopin and Valium cause they act so instantly to curb anxiety but my doc refused to continue the script.

I am a relatively poor writer and 35 pounds would be maximum for a cheaper seat ( I used to see many London plays like this, ) Personally I am ( along with others ) unhappy that you have to be well off now to see a play in the West End. Just an observation. As the Guardian newspaper said ( or perhaps the Observer ) you have to be rich to pay out 300 pounds for a play with a ' good ' cast. It used not to be like this. Just an observation, and I like your passion for this book which although I think is uneven in parts is compulsive and above all necessary to read.
@riship882 ай бұрын
I only ever buy day seats via today ticks and very rarely pay more than £30 for a very good stalls seat. Occasionally I'll pay more if I'm planning a night at the theatre with friends and we need to be planned.

Personally, I went on Zoloft for about two years, and around the 2.5 year mark, I eventually became suicidal. I was tired all the time, I felt no passion in anything, major brain fog, and my then GF said that I was like a robot when she talked to me. I quit the drug and it pretty much remedied that stuff, but my depression was much worse than before I had took it (but better than the end of my time on the drug) and my acid reflux is incredibly worse since. My point is - make sure you are right for the drug before you take it long term, as it has honestly fucked up my life a lot more, personally. I lost that GF over it. It turned me into a different person. The only thing that has helped me personally remotely turn things around since (and I'm not advocating you run out and try this, as its not for everyone), was LSD. I've tripped twice, ofc with supervision, and I've been able to work jobs and keep them for the first time in years this past year, all after the trips. I'm nervous to do it too much, as I don't have a good reliable source, but the two times I did it, I felt extremely good for one to two months after, and my depression has basically been gone since the first trip (that was in May). I still struggle with anxiety and OCD (intrusive thoughts), but its much more manageable than its ever been. That said, I do know people that Zoloft helped as well, and it even helped me at first. I know one person who it has helped long term even. It depends on the person. Just be very conscious of how you feel. If you are feeling bad, don't keep sitting by and letting it happen to yourself. When its a reaction to the drug, it won't just stop if you don't do something about it. I know firsthand how hard it can be, but trust me - you need to really be aware of yourself, as it can get to a point where you aren't in touch with the reality of your situation. This stuff is gonna be scary, but its worth it to face to try to fix your health, especially if you've exhausted other options already. Please don't take this as a warning against taking medication - it may help - more of a message to not give up if you experience non-positive results from *any* med. There are other options out there for you! And same goes for those who are not on any meds and are scared to try - give it a shot! It might help you, you won't know till you try.

Terrible advice. Psychiatric medications make depression and anxiety worse on average. Don’t believe me? Go read Anatomy of an Epidemic meta-analysis of every study done on these drugs since their inception. You are better off doing almost anything else including a placebo.

i’m thinking about stopping Zoloft and i only been on it for 4 days now and i have been watching videos on yt about different people experiences with it & im scared to continue on taking it. i just don’t want the medication to harm my body & my physical health. I’m just going to resort to praying my mental problems away because i don’t think i can do this anymore i’m just too concerned and i don’t want to be a handicap to the medication.

I use zoloft occasionally. Zoloft totally eliminates social anxiety for me. A small % of people like myself metabolize it quickly and can experience the calm within about 40 minutes of taking it. I only need a very small amount. 12.5 or 25 milligrams at a time is enough. I would use it every day but for some reason all anti depressants make my pupils look really black and people are scared of my eyes. I feel great one it but they eye change makes me not use it regularly.

I found people on TIkTok spoke about it the way they did for effect and to get a reaction. It is a tough read and initially difficult to get into but push through and just let yourself settle into it. Be patient and allow yourself to feel whatever comes.
