I think you two might have a slightly distorted view on America. We're not all social justice warriors or spoiled kids. The biggest thing most Americans want is equal opportunity, not equal outcomes. And the reason they want free education and healthcare is because those two things are unaffordable for so many of us now. We'll pay the taxes to help make that a reality for as many as possible. Give us the goddamn tools that we need to take ADVANTAGE OF the opportunities and don't bankrupt us because we got sick or injured in an accident. And stop picking on the various minority groups. Stop targeting women, stop harassing people of a different sexual orientation, stop attacking people who do not follow your prescribed religious faith. And work harder to preserve our air and water and our plant and animal life. Everything else is small change, everything else can be worked on by committed groups of ordinary people. The idea in America USED to be that government was there to help do the kind of heavy lifting that an individual cannot do alone, and to be a friend to the little guy who worked harder to make something of himself. And don't cram authoritarian crap down our throats. We are supposed to know right and wrong on our own. Just give us the tools. That's all most Americans really want in the end.
