You can't tell Scottish people they can't have fry ups and irn bru. Simple as that. Did O'Neill stop Hartson from eating crisps? no... and look what he achieved!

Best left foot in the game in his time. Ashley Cole was always LORDED, NONSENSE, wasn't as good as Leighton but never got the recognition. Met his Uncle in Spain and he was proud he didn't go for the money at UTD and stayed with us at Everton.

zidane really was a man possessed when playing for france. and he was from the very first minute : on his first game in 1994, he entered just after the hour mark (replacing my favorite player at the time, corentin martins), with france losing 2-0 to the czech republic. he shot twice. scored twice. in two minutes. as a ten years old kid at that time, that's the day zizou was born for me.

I don’t know if you do requests but here goes; Please do a video on Jorge ‘El Magico’ Gonzalez, such an outstanding player who doesn’t get close to the respect he deserves. Judging by your past videos you will absolutely love him too if you aren’t familiar with him!

would love to see some more career stories of some other cult heroes from Scottish clubs like maybe Nadir Çiftçi for Dundee United the foreign ones are always very interesting. A career story of GMS could also be very interesting, a Brazilian stuck in a Scotsman’s body just like Davie Cooper!

Hey Mate, your videos are great, and enjoy tactical elements you fold in and wanted to ask if not to much would you do a video on Paul McStay at all ? Am a late 90s early naughties Celtic supporter myself but I'd love to learn how good he was but how unlucky he was also, especially under Tommy, god rest his soul 😢

When Sauzée signed with my hometown team Atalanta it didn't go well, we got relegated actually, but I've always liked his career as a footballer especially the time he spent in Scotland. Great video!

I dont think its over for him. Look at Barkley for example. I think he would do well at West Ham. I'd sign him as an understudy to Bowen and Kudus. He needs consistency and coaching with skilled peers. We love skillful but hard luck stories at the Hammers. We also haven't had a skillful and successful flair player since Di Canio and Joe Cole.

@FlashBack Football First of all, I want to thank you for this wonderful video about Dejan Savićević, because he totally deserved it, and he is also my most favorite player ever. But at the end of the video, you get into politics and say something absurd, "that Serbia went to war against Kosovo", which is why I have an obligation to answer you. It would be the same as saying that France is at war against Brittany, Germany against Bavaria or Italy against Lombardy... Kosovo is a historical Serbian land - a Serbian province according to the Serbian constitution and the recognition of the United Nations. Serbia fought against the Albanian terrorist organization KLA, and waged war against NATO on the entire territory of the FR Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro), which supported Albanian terror through air bombardment aggression with the aim of finally breaking Yugoslavia and weakening Serbia, in order to unhinderedly control the entire Balkans.

Hi glad you enjoyed it. And I thank you for your fair and informative comment, I tried to learn a little about the Yugoslav wars when making this video as it's more or less impossible to talk about Yugoslav footballers of that era without mentioning it. However it is definitely something complex that I don't fully understand and that limited understanding showed through in what was apparently a poorly worded sentence.

Franck Sauzee was truly a fantastic player! I remember being blown away by the fact he signed for Hibs! I miss the days when Scottish teams were able to attract players like Sauzee, Cannigia, the deBoer brothers, Larsson, Ravanelli, etc! I mean, can you believe that both Cannigia and Ravanelli played for Dundee???

Fun fact: Silvester Takač, one of the best players of his generation, was sold midway through FC Vojvodina's 66/67 season to secure money for stadium floodlights - aptly nicknamed Takač's eyes. Vojvodina would eventually narrowly lose to Celtic in the quarters of the European Cup - a loss many of us, Vojvodina fans, maintain would have never come to pass had Takač remained at the club.
