What about the NL Baltimore Orioles of the 1890s? They were a direct ancestor of the Dodgers, as both teams shared ownership. Many of the Orioles stars were transferred to Brooklyn, such as Wilbur Robinson and Willie Keeler

The Cardinals logo came about in 1922 when the Cardinals owner was attending an event in Ferguson, Missouri. Up until this point Cardinals were seen as a team named for their uniform color, not the bird. At the event the hall was decorated with clothesline string and on the strings they had put Cardinal birds perched up on em. The owner loved this, and had one of the organizers (an artist) create a logo of cardinals perched on a bat. Through this we got the iconic birds on the bat slapped right along the chest. This was actually seen as really out there uniform design as most teams simply had their cities name along the front

now the D-Backs changed their logo again They still kept the 'A' in the logo but just simply changed the color on the outside of the logo from Tan To Teal

the montreal candiens never always had the same name , in 1917 the canadiens were called the montreal wanderers and the maple leafs used to be called the toronto arenas, so he is kind of wrong in some point , welp you learn every day 😀

Yeah actually it’s worse for the territories… if I were to move to San Juan for example, I would lose my ability to vote for president. If I move to Paris, I would vote absentee from my last residence. Heck if we had a moon or mars base, you could vote absentee from there. So territories are a part of the US and often fully endowed with citizenship (puerto Rico for example), but have even less say in democracy or self determination.

The Kraken is the most asinine name in professional sports. A 'Kraken' has absolutely nothing to do with Seattle or the Northwest not too mention it just sounds stupid. The NHL should be embarrassed at the idiotic name.

I think the problem is that there’s so much oversimplification on things, that’s what messed things up so much. Now I do believe the retro movement hasn’t been bad as far as that part of simplicity but then the ones that don’t, they just lack so much character. The San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers didn’t really need to change their logos either, they were fine as they were. I remember how good the Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz used to be, now they’re decent at best. The current Nuggets one doesn’t really give me primary logo vibes, maybe a secondary at best. I miss when the Nuggets and Jazz had mountains for both of their logos.

Yeah they were a team in a different league that predated the canucks. They actually had some success too, winning a Stanley cup back when it was a trophy vied for by multiple leagues!
