Why is something so easy made so complicated and time consuming??!! How many unnecessary & extra bowls and utensils do you need to use and wash just to make a simple egg mayo sandwich. So misleading & daunting for someone who has never cook/ made a sandwich!! A newbie will be so afraid to try making a sandwich for himself or to surprise his loved ones. This video will turn newbies away! So much cleaning to do!! And his white pot is so badly burnt & he didn’t put in effort to clean up the burnt pot properly but continued using it with all those burnt and make a video with it. Food hygiene & safety 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Hey, just thought I'd give you a word of encouragement! I'm a home cook and I've tried 3 of your recipes so far and they were all fantastic! I tried this miso ramen, the salt yakisoba, and omurice. I've been making some of them on repeat for several weeks now. So, keep up the good work! I know if you keep the quality up your channel will definitely grow!

Why are there so many people being dicks to this guy? He's just making a aesthetically pleasing home cooking video for how to make Japanese egg salad sandwiches, not making a statue of David for God's sake. Keep up the great work, Masuru! Ignore the trolls that come on here saying dumb shit to put you down.

Thank you Masuru for sharing this tasty looking fried rice recipe. I use the same condiments like you do (ginger, green onion, soy sauce, sake and salt & pepper). I often add red chili, and instead of meat and crab cake, I use vegetables like peas, mushoom, soy beans, chinese cabbage or carrots (often 2 different veggies). The main difference in my recipe, is that I fry the egg separately of the rice & veggies & condiments, and mix everything at the end.

I am a huge fan of mapo tofu, which as its from Sichuan, should be really spicy and include sichuan pepper. And for me - even though I eat meat - it should be vegetarian. Your mapo tofu is neither including sichuan pepper, spicy enough or vegetarian. The dish you prepared looks very tasty, just dont call it "authentic mapo tofu", because thats really not at all the case.
@swissfoodie35426 ай бұрын
I see now that you call it "Japanese style mapo tofu", so its okay for it to be a bit different ;-).

Masuru! I tried this sandwich today! I didn't have granular consommé or ham, but I substituted a different kind of boullion powder for it. I fried it in a pan with some bacon fat I reserved and it was SO DELICIOUS. I never thought I would like egg salad warm with melted cheese, but it is SO good. I'm going to try to get granular consommé and ham for next time so I can make it exactly according to the directions, but this was delicious and I'm so excited to have it again down the line! Also, I generally do not like sweet things with my savory things, but that small amount of sugar really did enhance the flavor, and now I'm more willing to try small amounts of sugar in savory dishes to see how it enhances it! I hope you get some other social media soon so I can show you the picture I took of the sandwich lol. (:

You always have such insightful commentary about the food you make! I love it. So interesting that teriyaki isn't commercially available in Japan! Also, would teriyaki freeze well at all, or is it best eaten fresh? :)
@MASURUKITCHEN7 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you said that. Freezing teriyaki sauce itself is not often done in Japan. If stored in the refrigerator, it will last for about 3 to 5 days for safety.I think it's safe for about 2 weeks, but it depends on how you store it, so I can't make a general statement. I have never tried freezing it, but I think it can be stored for 1 to 2 months if it is sealed in a hygienic container. In any case, the sooner you eat it, the more delicious it will be. When freezing teriyaki sauce, I think it's best to mix it with chicken or pork before freezing. It is safe to store for about 2 weeks.
@ShinyYas7 ай бұрын
@@MASURUKITCHEN I hadn't thought about freezing it with pork or chicken! Thanks for that idea!
@MASURUKITCHEN7 ай бұрын
I'm sorry. My answer at that time was wrong. The correct way to do this is to put it in a freezer bag, squeeze out the air, close the bag, spread it out flat, and store it in the freezer. However, it loses its freshness over time, so eat it as soon as possible.

I love ramen, and this recipe looks very tasty and simple to prepare (apart from preparing the char shui pork). Would it be wrong, to add other toppings like soybean sprouts, nori or shitake mushrooms ?
@MASURUKITCHEN7 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching this time. In Japan, common toppings for soy sauce ramen include chashu pork, seasoned bamboo shoots, boiled eggs, green onions, and nori. Miso ramen and tonkotsu ramen often add vegetables such as bean sprouts and cabbage. Shiitake mushrooms are not often seen as a topping, but I think this is a novel idea. Mushroom soup may come out and be delicious. I'll try it next time.
