Once upon a time there was an America where americans dressed and look nice and not overweight, behave politely, where dress code and cultural manners was included in public places and where life look nice and peaceful.

As much as I enjoyed the film, this song should be a classic in its on right. It’s actually the song that resonates with me more than anything in the film. I’ve just listened to this for the first time since I last saw the film in the 1990s and the song, which has always stayed in my mind, is even better than I remembered it

What a movie. Only a masterpiece like this makes you want to watch it again and again as time goes on... Generally, the 70s were the best time -- the best movies, the best actors, the best music, the most gorgeous women, the best fashions...

This came out when I was four, so obviously I didn't see it then and I never even heard about it. It's one of the many films I ended up watching in my teens when it came on TV late at night and I became totally obsesse with it. This was before we even had a VHS player and I had no way of renting it. I just had to wait till it randomly came on tv again.

I remember seeing it in the theatre. Had us on the edges of our seats. Watching this video the nostalgia of the cars, street signs and fashions also takes me back.

Capricorn One was one of the first movies I saw in the theater by myself. That theme playing over the letters on the plain black background left a distinct impression on me. Also the first thing I remember seeing Sam Waterston in.

I saw this movie in a theater when I was in high school. I loved it then and still do and have never understood why it wasn't a bigger hit. Many people I've mentioned it to while discussing old movies haven't heard of it.

Jerry Goldsmith produced such varied music for films and TV. Even with the greatest composers you can notice similarities in some of their compositions. Have never thought that about Jerry Goldsmith.

This film is often compared to Barry Lyndon, but personally I think it's ten times more enjoyable than that self indulgent mess, which was so often the case with Kubrick.

Great Job Folks!.. Expertly edited with the music....One small note, and I mean this more as a kindly suggestion... The very last frame....after the sleepy drunk slides on the bench... The last frame should be Matthau's "I got ya" face at the door.... But this is still great.
@smoothpants5 ай бұрын
I would kind of agree. But then, you give away that masterful ending for someone who hasn't seen it. Then again, the absence of context might preserve it.
