Partially that, I think the wording is also worth mentioning. Ms. Shinonome says that even though she worries about Ena, she'll support her for her happiness (eg. _Ena's_ doing what _she_ wants, this is _Ena's_ life, _she_ does what _she_ wants to.) and that's the extent of which Ms. Shinonome mentions herself in the statement. Ms. Asahina on the other hand, her statement strongly implies self-interest. More of what she says to Mafuyu is about her rather than about Mafuyu (eg. _I intend_ on cheering you on, _I'm_ worried, _I_ meddled, it's fine with _me_ to do what you want.) because in the end she ultimately does not care about what Mafuyu wants and wants Mafuyu to sympathize with her.

The whole concept of her character is a representation of depression and being a people pleaser. She had dived into a deep state of depression where she felt nothing at all. In parts of the story, it can be depicted of Mafuyu being close to committing "sewer-slide." One of the main points in the story is Mafuyu bottled up her emotions, though she looked like the happiest person in the world on the outside. So respectively, you are wrong here.

It's first mentioned in 25ji's unit story that Mafuyu slowly lost her ability to taste thanks to the mental illnesses that you-know-who is the cause. I don't remember which chapter but there is one where Ena found an illness whose one symptom is not being able to taste food and told Mafuyu about it.

Mafuyu is slowly coming towards Akito. The meme is becoming real. I'mma make some fanfic about Akito confronting Mafuyu's mom in front of Ena and Mafuyu, real quick. Edit: My story is that, after knowing that Mafuyu will be staying over night at Shinonome's house, her mom suddenly shout and tells her that she's not allowed to sleep in other house while telling that Ena is irresponsible and other hurtful words. And will come over to "fetch" Mafuyu. Which makes Mafuyu becomes emotionally unstable, and then Ena comforts Mafuyu in anyway she could. Later on, Akito plans to buy something at convenience store, and tells his parents, who are in the living room, that he's going out. Then he goes upstairs to ask if they wanted something. He knocked 3 times, and enter the room to ask them. Which Ena replied with anything. Akito who immediately sense the air being heavy, closes the door while looking at Mafuyu's eyes, which seemingly different from earlier. Akito got his shoes on and starts walking outside of their door. But there is someone at their gate, who is seemingly an older woman that has a same hair as Mafuyu. Which he knew that she's Mafuyu's mom. She angrily asked where's her daughter. Her voice immediately reverberated in his house. Mafuyu and Ena knew whose voice is that and goes downstairs. Akito who got the gist of it, approach Mafuyu's mom in a polite way and uses this chance to calm her down. But she responded with intense hostility instead. Akito who can't keep up his fake face after being shouted by someone, starts talking about how as if she talks like they kidnap her. In a deep and irritated voice, he said to her that Mafuyu already told her that she's staying over at someone's house and to respect her decision at least. He also told her that staying over night with her friends is nothing new. And he also told her that in case something bad will happen they'll do anything to compensate for it. The mother is trying to say something but then the Shinonome couple goes out and talk to her instead, along with Ena and Mafuyu who is still depressed. Their father tells Akito to go to the store and buy what he need. While he's gone, Mafuyu still remember how a younger person than her, stands up for her and how his back seems a bit bigger than she thought. Ena looks at Mafuyu who is still in a daze even if their parents are talking about her. Akito comes back with ice cream for the three of them. 1 choco, 1 strawberry, and 1 vanilla. Mafuyu got strawberry and starts putting in her mouth. She thought it will be tasteless too but for some reason she taste strawberry's sourness and its sweetness and smiled from the bottom of her heart Mafuyu approaches Akito who's in the living room and thank him with a smile he didn't know she could make. Akito who seems to be surprised looks at her for a few seconds and smiled back. It's a small gesture, but it made Mafuyu's heart warm. TRUE END ‐-------------------------------------- R18+ *Ahem, don't read this part if you don't want to see some cursed stuff* But his ice cream melts and falls into his crotch. Mafuyu notices it, gets her handkerchief and wipes his crotch and gives him seductive look. And tells him, "Come here, Akito-kun" Akito who seems to be hypnotized follows her in his room and make some miracle. Ena who's in the table with her parents starts looking around for Mafuyu and Akito. Ena had a hunch but she disregard it. Saying it's impossible.
