Yeah, I love perfection. Some issues are less (too small/weak screws), some are quality things like the cabinet door alignment (not fixable), some are big (where I expect a fix).

A lot of these issues show that there has been no appropriate quality control. Those cabinet panels being that far out should be an easy spot for any quality manager, which is disappointing for a boat from a yard of this size.

My Bali 4.2 is number 179. So they had 178 times to learn and practice.

Their business model is selling cats to rich people that they think are dumb, thank god some owners are very conscious and know about bad quality control! Great video!

Are there dumb rich people? I think they have to got some sense for quality to become rich. Maybe some heirs.

I am German too and learned to fix a lot of small issues myself. I own a Bali Catspace and overall I am very happy with the build quality of the boat. Regarding the Scheiber HMI it has to be always on otherwise your DC switchboard and wireless light switches would not work. The bilge pumps need a far higher water level to be triggered automatically. It’s annoying but you can’t use them to dry your bilge.

Yes, the bilge pumps are mounted on a backing plate about 1.5cm above the sink for the water. The pump went on but leaves some water in the sink. This water causes the pump turn on on each shaking of the boat.

I wonder if you had less quality issues and delayes if you had ordered a bali cat built in france? i mean u already lost alot of time and travel expenses, just to be welcome by rusty washers?! i would freak out, dont know what extras you´ve ordered to your boat, but with taxes on top you probably pay around 700k €. thats a huge amount of money! hope they fix the boat so you can go on to enjoy it.

The Bali 4.2 is build in Tunisia (Haco Boatyard) only. So I could not choose. Only the more expensive models are produced in France.

Danke für das Teilen Deiner ersten Erfahrungen. Wenn ich irgendwann genug gespart habe wäre die 4.2 auch meine Wahl. In einem anderen Video habe ich gesehen, dass wohl viele - wenn nicht gar alle - neue Boote (praktisch aller Werften) mit ‚Kinderkrankheiten‘ ausgeliefert werden. Dank Deinem ausführlichen und gut gemachtem Video kann man sehen, worauf man alles achten soll. Ich freue mich Dein neuer Abonnent zu sein.
