05 Nissan Altima 3.5L intake manifold removal

I apologize for not recording the whole process but I didnt think about it until after I removed it. Hopefully this is enough to help someone do the job.

Taking off the throttle body make it easier taking the back bolts off the manifold

Totally helped thank you! Was helping a friend with the spark plugs . They said the coils are good but are experiencing some type of misfire or rough idle. Replaced the intake manifold gasket along the way. Still has a rough idle. There is a small exhaust leak not far off the headers. The owner says someone replaced the cam position sensor (I believe it wasn’t the crank position sensor, but could be wrong.). Any insight? Cheers!

You're welcome and glad I could help. First thing is to get a scan tool if you don't have one already and see which cylinders are misfiring on live data. Is the exhaust leak before or after the cat converter?

I’ve got a basic scanner and not sure about the leak. It can be heard clearly in the front driver side wheel well. Thanks for the reply!@@3rdzodiac

Any idea if the intake manifold has go come off on the 3.5 Altima in order to replace the exhaust manifold gasket on the back cylinder bank?

I believe so. Would be harder trying to access the exhaust manifold bolts/nuts from underneath.

I dont see any rrason why u have to take off intake manifold ...just the exhaust manifolds ..only thing u taking off and i fixing to take my exhaust manifolds off ..i tell u soon ..

Yes ser is no diffrent .same motor .as maxima and any se altima..ser just has 10hp more than se model thats it .lol

Way easier to just take apart the 2 piece manifold at those 4 bolts. But to each their own

Easier to just take entire thing off ...i can tune up 3.5 liter plugs and coils in bout 20 min complete ive done so many times..and i fot rid of factory crap airbox sux..put ram air or cold air on it..twice the power and gas ..and i got rid of crappy factory exhaust .again twice the power from that alone

You don’t get power from an exhaust and a hot air intake lml

You don't get twice the power from just an exhaust and intake upgrade. You can gain a little from tuning it tho.
