What do you do to fill the radiator system if you don’t have the equipment you used to refill the radiator on the 2007 ford 5.4 engine
@AutomedicGarageАй бұрын
@@michaelbray7687 you can fill, start it let it idle for a few minutes, turn it off, burp the hoses. Repeat work your way up to revving it a little. Key is to see the coolant level drop and keep topping off between run cycles until your not getting any drop in the coolant. However, vacuum filling is the safest way to assure no air pockets in the heads.

Hello, is it possible if you don't have a clatch tool or hammer to not remove the clutch but rather to remove the screws behind it, the one that holds the housing that covers the water pump?

Never tried it cause I think it would be a pain

Great vid. Question. I replaced the o ring and it still leaks. Does that mean the water pump needs replacing or could there be an issue in the water pump housing

Is it coming from the weep hole?
@darnellcox2779 Жыл бұрын
@@AutomedicGarage to be honest I'm not sure. Only leaks while the car is not running. LoL can't lie....your video just showed me what a weep hole is
@darnellcox2779 Жыл бұрын
@@AutomedicGarage I thought it was coming from out of the bottom of the housing but weep hole kinda explains why I couldn't see where it was coming from

@@darnellcox2779 follow the trail of the leak. I would almost bet my paycheck it’s the water pump seals though.

Can you add coolant normally while running or is the vacuum necessary?
@AutomedicGarage Жыл бұрын
I vacuum fill to be on the safe side, these motors are bad about air pockets in the heads. If you don’t have a vacuum filler just fill and crank, run for 2-3 minutes, sit check fill if necessary. Crank again run rpm’s up to 2k for 20-30 secs turn of check full and repeat a few times and you should be good.
