You are an exceptional teacher! I love the way you cover so many things that go wrong with beginners. I'm new at this and have made EVERY mistake possible. Can't wait to get better at this!

I love the way you teach, Kristen! Sometimes, I go back and watch them lots later (as you can see a couple years, even) and either reinforce something I've learned or remind myself of something I've forgotten or thought a "mental note" would be enough.(uh, not so for me :) ). Thanks for your dedication and teaching in "my style of learning".

I think it is great you talked about the tension. I have been working with an addi and moving to a loom I found a battle with tension with it being either too loose for my liking or too tight for my liking. I found your video very helpful. Thanks

As a teacher, I appreciate all of the information you provide! Also, the reasons for why you do certain things helps so much! It always sticks with me more when I’m explained why we do something. I also appreciate your different lesson videos! It makes it so much easier to locate everything I want to know about look knitting in one place!!! Thank you!!

Do you have tutorials for ear warmers on a 36 peg loom?
@sherrimccool16904 жыл бұрын
I love you work. Thank you for taking the time to teach us. I use the chain cast on but with a latch hook instead of a crochet hook. The end result looks the same to me. I have CP and cannot handle the crochet hook, yarn and loom all at the same time, just not that coordinated. I can tell you that you and loom knitting have saved my sanity since I was forced to retire .

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! So far, as an absolute beginner (who has surfed KZbin for a couple of weeks now) your videos are the absolute best I have found. First saw the casting on one, then went backwards to the beginning of your series. You are concise, clear, and thorough, but not excessive, and give great options. Thanks again! (Can't say that enough!)

I'm starting my first blanket but it's curling up at the edges, and I was wondering if it's because I didn't cast of exactly like you did in the this video. I just went straight to ewrapping. Love you video.
@GoodKnitKisses3 жыл бұрын
Hi Angela. Thanks for your comment. The Ewrap stitch is a type of knit stitch. Using only knit stitches will cause your knitting to roll. You will need to work in purls as well as knits to combat rolling on Ends and Edges. Be sure to watch the next several lessons of videos in this series and try the patterns. It should help you for future projects. You can also salvage the blanket later by placing the sides or edges back on the loom and adding some garter ridges (alternating a row of knits and then a row of purls and repeating) or ribbing to fix the blanket instead of remaking. I hope this helps.

I am a recent retiree who has never loom knit before. l am looking for a hobby that can be fun and enjoyable. I have heard so much about loom knitting, I thought I would give it a try. But we do not have cold winters in the state I live in, therefore. hats, scarves, gloves, and boots are not needed except for a warm cozy blanket. Which of these looms do you feel would be a good choice for me the " infinity, rectangular, or round loom"?

Greetings from Germany! I just found your channel as I started to try loom knitting. I know this is an old video but I'm having difficulty with my loops being very difficult to knit over. I use a loom pen to control tension? Is it the wrong yarn I am using? Or tension??? Any help or advice would be really appreciated!! Thank you all! Liebe Gruß aus Der Eifel Jacqueline 😊

I use a variety of different yarns depending on what I’m making, what loom I’m working on and especially what project I’m making. Here is an article from this series you may get some answers to lead you www.goodknitkisses.com/get-the-best-start-loom-knitting/

Question, being membership and live would they provided closed captioning? I heard live doesn’t but what about membership? What does it makes difference to have? Hope you can tell me a bit about membership because watching live is a bit difficult for me so I tend to wait them out but part of membership is the one I still don’t understand. It’s fairly new to me.
@GoodKnitKisses4 жыл бұрын
pmg1180 great questions. I totally understand. The ones with a scheduled premiere time (usually when you see it in the morning about 8am Eastern) it does have captions. I have been uploading videos with captions for nearly the last two years with a couple of exceptions (if they are from a Facebook replay and usually 45-60 min and the last potholder series.) So you don’t need membership to get captions. If there is a video you would personally like captions on please comment on that specific video and I’d be happy to do it and just need a friendly reminder. I have gone back and captioned my top 20+ videos. But there are hundreds and that can get pricy. Just let me know and I’ll be on it. Membership actually helps me in captioning. My original goal with memberships was to offset the cost. My sister in law is deaf and I’m actually wearing hearing aids myself; the goal is to get captions on all videos. ☺️ However, on a livestream I don’t caption. That one is usually my face only (sometimes flipping the camera though for hands). But seriously if there is a livestream video later you really want captions on PLEASE don’t hesitate to ask me.
@pmg11804 жыл бұрын
GoodKnitKisses thank you Kristen. That’s something I will keep it considered. I appreciated for your time to explaining the difference about livestream and normal videos.
