I remember when I was younger we did a journal entry at the beginning of the day were o ur teacher wrote a question on the board and we answered it in the form of a journal entry. It's a good way to express themselves and work on their writing skills. We also did a "car wa sh" game where a student walks by everyone else and everyone compliments them. It was fun!

I've spent so much time thinking about what I want my profession to be, and I always come back to being a teacher. Your videos provide a lot more perspective and motivation! Thanks.

Hello! I am a future teacher studying Elem. Ed. at Elon University. If you could give one piece of advice for a future teacher what would it be?

You're not weird at all! It's so true that kids need different things. I have one student in particular who is the same way. He doesn't like public praise, but he really loves when I come over to him at his seat and give him feedback or praise there! :)
