i joined the valheim community bout 1 year and a half ago becuz my friend told me about it we played hundreds of hours building castles and villages but he passed away 2 days before christmas last year he was my greatest friend i ever had

This is straight up wild. My 400 day solo world has got nothing on this behemoth of a server lol. I love seeing what people can build with this games build system, but having all these builds condensed into one server that's been around since launch is so sick. Although i can imagine the lag some of those areas cause lol, definitely some massive amounts of instances in some of those really dense areas.

Haha you’re not wrong. Although some of us got new PCs recently and they run surprisingly well in some pretty built up areas now however there is no avoiding the big drop in frame rate with so many instances. Hopefully iron gate continues to optimise.

I have been playing Valhiem like an RPG min/maxxer, but I cannot deny that building in this game makes me stop and lose a week of in-game time because I JUST HAD to remodel my home a bit to expand the workshop.

As a Valheim building addict, I respect all the efforts of your builders. I'm amazed that you were able to do a true no-wipe. Most of the updates of Valheim have broken my worlds. Heck, I've only had about three that have survived the updates. Mind you, I currently have 125 mods crammed into our current server (lot's of build additions). I just went through and did 1,200+ customizations to our Server configs to keep everything more efficiently organized. Thank you Wacky Database!

Same, had floating bases and trees on Xbox with the first major update post launch. I remember though they did make a patch later to restore worlds

I agree. I do wish however that they had random cave paths that you stumble on in valheim. The dig feature always ends in a huge crater even if you dig from the side. I love everything else about the terrain.

The server is currently opened to patrons at any level on the Patreon. It’s often a little risky to open a server like this to everyone as trolls often ruin builds. But who knows what the future holds.

So you played a 6yo game for approximately 27yrs. The math ain't mathing.

The game was released about 3,5 year ago (Feb. 2021). An in-game day is 30 min (21 min day and 9 min night). Disregarding nights that may have been skipped by sleeping in-game, and with the help of some mathemagics, we can assume that when the server hit 10.000 days (in April 2024) the server had been played around 5.000 hours since start.
