facts. of course if we are using a scale system where diet coke is at a 1.0 and regular coke is at a 10.0, coke zero would be at like 3.0-4.0. it's closer to a regular coke's taste when compared to diet coke, but still tastes a bit off. with that said, i would take coke zero any day over a diet coke. but all soda in general isn't healthy so I try to stay away from all of them if i can.

Video just proves how hard it is to track calories on the fly. Needs to be done meticulously to be accurate as nobody is perfect and either the deficit or surplus can really add up quickly if you aren't hard checking.
@austinhamilton94445 ай бұрын
its hard when eating out, but just cook food instead. this isnt realistic for people that actually try to track calories, nor should it be a deterrent to do so.
@myopiniondoesntmatter70685 ай бұрын
@@austinhamilton9444 Even eating at home is rough if you use a heap of fresh produce instead of lets say canned or frozen veggies. Not all produce is equal and if you aren't extremely careful - especially with the math side of it you can end up getting hunger nausea, being extremely cold and having awful headaches. I know this because its exactly what happened when I started. Its infinitely easier working with frozen veggies and portioning them off into x amounts because its a simple division. Whereas if you work with stuff that comes without nutritional information and is a-symmetrical you can often have lopsided portions when you're trying to hit a very specific kcal range. To recomp I was trying to hit ~1500-1700kcal daily and doing it "the normal way" without measuring everything would result in blowouts either way of probably 300-500 kcal. By things like milk in oats or bran cereal, red meat not being equal size or a less than normal fatty version. For anyone who truly struggles with this, the easiest way is to make sure everything you eat is packaged in someway (packaged not necessarily processed) and just keep a spreadsheet. Its incredible at how fast your body changes once you leave no margin for error. The biggest advice I would give after turning my life around 2 years ago is to start out not eating anything without accurate measuements on it. Don't use "handfuls or a splash" everything measured. That way you can find your energy expenditure and also find out what is far too low for you. Once you hit that sweet spot of the weight falling off but having zero side effects (headaches, extremely cold, nausea and thinking about any food literally every second) it becomes effortless to maintain.
@michellemartinov62673 ай бұрын
The other part of this is that you can also cut 1 meal out per day which if you’re looking for a deficit is pretty easy to do.
@reddillon84252 ай бұрын
on the fly? maybe. If you're eating at any major chain they're going to have readily available calorie information for you to put in any free calorie counting app and it's going to be piss easy. When you're at a more obscure place, sure, it can get tricky.. but if you're trying to watch your diet that strictly you probably shouldn't be eating at obscure places anyway And if you're at home cooking your food and have a weight scale for your food it's going to be PISS easy, I should know, I've been doing it for years. Takes under a minute while your water is boiling or oven is preheating or whatever else, I use the "lose it" app.
@turtleking598Ай бұрын
Eating out yeah but even then you can usually find the calories online or do some math and slightly over estimate. I counted calories meticulously for about a month before I had a general idea of what everything costs basically and on the fly is all I do. Although I don't drink soda or eat out much so that part helps. Being super meticulous about it is what made me stop doing it because it was anxiety inducing and I don't recommend that.

In no world would it make any sense to substitute it with something else on a healthy bulk, especially if ur making it at home, throwing away 80% of the egg to add something else thats similar and less healthy does that make sense to you?

I am drinking coke zero right now as im watching this and eating my breakfast lol omg. There is a huge difference between the taste of all of them but the closest taste is for sure coke zero and regular coke. if I had a cold I could see them tasting even more similar. Amazing video Mitch! Collabing with lil T and big T is my fav!

This is such a fun video. I am 26yo, 4'11", 155lb. I've lost 16lbs in 8 weeks by changing my entire diet. I have high cholesterol so I had to change literally everything about what I eat. It was very emotional, difficult process. I had 2 pancakes today for the first time in these 8 weeks. But I didn't add any syrup and I ate fruit with it. (Church pancake breakfast got me) I work a very physical job in a warehouse, so all it really took was changing my diet to see dramatic difference. But now I'm looking into actually targeting on strength training so I maintain muscle in this new phase of life I'm entering. I want to lose fat, get my blood levels healthy, and stay strong. Slow is steady, and steady is fast. 💪 We're just getting started. Knee push ups, and tall planks to start but this is only the start

Biggest thing for me when bulking is using smoothies to my advantage. I wind up uncomfortably full sometimes even on cutting calories (I like vegetables and fruit, etc). Smoothies are so much easier for me to get down and still keep reasonably healthy than almost any other food. Plus, I can enjoy them slowly over the course of my day. Helps so much.

lol, mitch you forgot to put the link at 1:35 (being an American i'm curious how you and Will did haha) honestly don't know how you guys pull egg whites (i don't really drink soda but if i'm using it as a mixer with my liquor i'll generally stick with either seltzers or diet sodas, came to realize regular soda blocks the flavor of the booze and makes me feel like trash the next day with all the sugar since I do low-carb/higher fat i'm not use to the sugar, not necessarily keto but like an abridged version) Thanks for the laughs, these collab's are killer

I’ve gotten used to Coke Zero, I enjoy it. Diet Coke tastes like my childhood. That being said regular Coke is SIGNIFICANTLY more delicious than its sugar free counterparts. I rarely have regular soda but it could be useful pre or post workout.

6:10 i can easly feel what is sugar coke and sugar free coke, i didint drink sugar drinks for so many years, and sugar imiediatly leave the bad aftertaste, and for sugar free, every sweetener taste diffirent if its aspartam or sodium cyklaminians just dont drink it too much cause aspartam is cancirogenic, and cyklaminias increase chance for bladder cancer. Its good to have for example Stevia sweetned drink in EU we have even Stevia cola :) i wish more producers use more healthy sweeteners options.

I can tell absolutely between Coke, Diet Coke, and Coke Zero. If I ask for Coke Zero and they bring me diet I can tell. The harder one for me to tell is Coke zero, and regular Coke. I might have to do a double take if they are side by side. But in the end I'd be able to tell. And yes, a healthy bulk is very hard to over eat on! People don't realize how difficult it can be. But I also feel like it's fairly expensive getting all those lean cuts of meats so you don't over consume fat, while having good carb sources. At least for me anyways.

Coke and Pepsi and their diet/zero sugar variants all taste different, but I grew up drinking diet pepsi and diet coke so regular soda tastes odd to me. With the zero sugar variant of stuff like Dr. Pepper and Pepsi and Coke it doesn't really make sense to drink regular soda since those taste a bit closer to the regular variant but you avoid going way over your daily sugar limit from just 20 oz of soda. I know with MTN Dew I like the diet versions as a pick me up at work and sometimes they have the limited editions in zero sugar or diet but if they don't there is like 50 grams of sugar in them which is insane and I steer clear of it.

Butter is 1000% better for you than margarine. And most “zero calorie things” have a crap ton of chemicals in them that do more harm than that +/- 10 lbs you gain or lose. If everyone just stuck to meat, veg and fruit, my God would we healthier and stronger 💪🏻

You're right that I'll disagree on the soda thing. I've done blind taste tests - it was trivially easy for me identify Pepsi vs Diet Pepsi and Coke vs. Diet Coke. Some people are very sensitive to artificial sweeteners. I still drink diet soda over regular probably 99% of the time because you're absolutely right that full calorie sodas make no sense from a health perspective, but it's a compromise because I absolutely enjoy the regular one more. Edit: ok watched further, I see Will got it too lol
