Houston's in Pasadena is my favorite. The grilled artichokes & spinach artichoke dip, the Hawaiian ribeye, loaded baked potato, and the French martini. Seriously the BEST🥩🥔🍸

@@RockstarEater I haven't. I like to stick to older-style types of places in general. I live next to K-Town, so the combination of both factors appealed to me. The last time I went to a steakhouse was probably a year ago I went to the Smoke House in Burbank which was fun.

Taylor’s Steakhouse in K-Town has been my favorite for over 30 years. But, a hidden gem was the Pantry in downtown LA. They always had different cuts all you had to do was ask. I’d go around 2 or 3am in the morning to get my steak fix. Sit at the counter and watch it be cooked. And almost forgot Malbec on Green Street in Pasadena.

These are all relatively new except for the last one. Well, I guess Cut has been around a little more than the others but atill not old school. How about if you do a part 2 steak house video of the best old school traditional steak houses in the LA area Dal Rae's in Pico Rivera is straight out of the Rat Pack era with a wonderful horseshoe bar and has some great steaks too

Ruth's Chris in BH was by far my favorite. Next would be Matro's, Cut and my backyard. BOA, STK, Lawry’s and Fogo de Chao were also pretty darn good. Nice list.

I love Blade Chuck Chuck Shoulder, Top Sir Loin Boneless N.Y. Strip, Ribeye, Top and Bottom Round. Are my favorite cuts of Steaks. 12 oz. Medium well or well done.

Went to mastros and got a tomahawk(never again since the bone counts as the included weight). It was delicious. Best first steak experience ever.

I have only tried Taylor's (many times) and it is famous for its wedge salad (the best wedge salad ever), and it's baseball steak, which is a prime sirloin but it eats like a filet. Morton's downtown is also good, as well as Ruth Chris in Pasadena.

Morton's and Ruth Chris' are awesome steak houses. I didn't include them because I was focusing more on the independent owned businesses. I think Mastro's is pretty similar to Ruth Chris', but a bit more posh.

This brought back the memories of trying that heavenly wagyu ribeye at cut more than 10 years ago, with you! still my fave is the bone-in-ribeye from mastros.

if you have the change to visit Boa go for it... best filet you can ever try in your life i have a dinner her in 2013-14 i don't remeber also staff member really help you with order and anything if you are from another country like me (italy) i miss it ;(

Is it sad (or great) that I've been to all these places. Mastro's has really fallen off a bit. I would rather eat at Palm Restaurant across the street these days. I recently ate at Nusr Et which is down the street from Mastro's & right across from Cut. I was pleasantly surprised on how good it was. I had seen some marginal reviews but it is trendy & hip & the steak was fantastic. My favorites were the tasting platter at Cut (1 piece of prime, 1 piece of Australian Wagyu & 1 piece of Japanese Wagyu), the Australian Wagyu at Gwen & The Japanese Wagyu @ Alexanders. Headed to Matu.

Eeeuuuwwww! Bathroom sounds? Anyway I think Peter Lugers has great steak but they are expensive and there is competition. The Makdon is on point. Costco has a big tub for 7$! They should have put it on for that price (sand fresh cracked pepper) and the bread looked basic store bought.
