Another tip for Fushimi Inari is that you can climb it at night. It's such a surreal experience and feels so peaceful. The shrine grounds dont close and it's very well lit all the way up.

Hello Gareth, I hv 2 questions for you : 1. Where's is the best place to rent a bike (balance between price and availability)? Is Kyoto Central station ok? 2. So if I'm using bicycle can I just leave the bike anywhere while I'm walking at the bamboo forest or Fushimi Inari shrine without worrying if someone steals my bike.?
@kabocha_sora6 жыл бұрын
MUHAMMAD KHAIRI AIMRAN you must not worry that someone stole your bike but one many places you are not allowed to leave your bike there. So you must be careful where it is allowed to leave your bike.
@rmsnoel19836 жыл бұрын
I rented a bike for 600yen per Day, e bike is 1000yen from my guest house Bike comes with wheel lock but yes you must only park at designated bike stops. Gion minami house is excellent to stay in Kyoto

So, is it worth to rent a bike if it’s hard to find places to leave it? Did you so it? Suggestions ??? Thnx !

Though it is usually full of visiting tourists, you may also want to consider Kiyomizu-dera (pure water temple) which is beautiful architecturally. and has scenic views. It's one of my favorites in Kyoto.

@Papierrazzi6 жыл бұрын
Don't go to the bamboo forest in Arashiyama (North/West) and then to Fushimi Inari (South). Do it on two separate days. They are literally on opposite sides of the town. You can use your time better if you minimize your travel time, especially if you don't have many days to spend. Kinkakuji (North) is pretty close to Arashiyama, so combine those. Gion is on the other side of town (Middle/East), combine that one with Kiyomizudera or Ginkakuji. Going anywhere early is a good tip though.
