If Aquaman was the break-out character on Batman: the Brave and the Bold, Sportsmaster was a bit more of a modest version from Young Justice. So much so, in fact, that I wanted the Artemis arc from YJ to be adapted into a season of Arrow. And hey, now they have Artemis...Just not correctly.

Sportsmaster was an amazing character, Lobo design was awesome and hope to see more of him in season 3 and Black Manta was a badass and his more armored look definitely makes be believe he could fight Aquaman lets face it I. the comics he should be knocked out very easily by Aquaman.

In terms of costume only i really like Nightwings costume in season 2 still sleek but has actual armour on it so Dick could conceivably get hit by someone like Mongul and not die instantly.

I liked Black Manta in the show for his interactions with Aqualad. From what we see he actually teaches him good life lessons. And when Kaldur was hurt he was genuinely worried and did everything to help him recover.

I think as late as mid 2018 is a solid guess (and doesn't set our expectations too soon). They just announced it fairly recently, so they haven't even recorded any lines I would assume. Although, it does have the advantage of the story most likely already has been written, so that will streamline the production quite a bit.
