My girlfriend and I had been friends a week, we were next-door neighbours, and we were talking every day, we would walk her dog every morning, she'd chap and I'd be up and dressed, so I asked if we should be a couple since we both seem really eager to spend all of our time together, we started a very intense relationship and we were spending so much time either at hers or at mines and spending so many nights together that at some point, maybe one or two months in, I had gradually left more and more things at hers and had pretty much stopped going home at all and we have been together like that for nearly 5 years now and have 2 children, soon we will be moving into a bigger place together as we need more space for our family. I think the neighbours are still fascinated by what happened since separately we were very shy and both hardly went out but now we are always out and about and we are the strange neighbours who became a couple out of nowhere and had two kids together.

i'm moving in with my boyfriend hopefully in the near future. i need to begin saving up to have some rent money and moving company payment ready. my reason is that living with my family has become increasingly toxic and abusive since quarantine and i know i need to get out asap for my mental health and well-being.

We knew each other for 3 years. Almost 3 years to the day we met we started dating. That was in March 2018. I was in TN and he was back in Ohio. By April 2018 I was back in our hometown in Ohio and he was in a city about an hour away that he’d lived in for several years. We were seeing each other almost every single day which meant hour long drives back and forth. So I started looking for jobs and we basically decided wherever I was able to find a job first is where we would move. August 2018 we moved in together back in our hometown.

Let my boyfriend move in three months before COVID. He is not a breadwinner and said while he works 6am to 5pm he lifts me up then drags me down, name calling and he says I don't meet his expectations, while he doesn't keep his promises, never wants to do things on the weekend and blames me as an excuse not to own his behavior and lazy actions. Once he lost his job aka got fired all he does is sleep all day and does nothing till late evening when convenient only to him. He does absolutely nothing with helping on a daily bases with home and the pets. I do everything all day, including the things I've asked him multiple times to do. I wanted a serious relationship 1 year and 10 months ago now 39 and just feed up he lied about wanting a serious relationship and says " we live together isn't that good enough you still don't meet my expectations to even think to marry you" I said from the get go I wanted nothing to do with an un-committed- social relationship that If what I wanted he didn't to end it before Id even let him move in. He says "We have all time in the world" No I don't I wanted to get married and start a family before 42 of age. So far excuses, manipulation and ongoing stonewalling. I pay for relationship therapy and 75% of everything, especially now since he got canned for being a lazy bum and continuously calling of work. So far I'm at my last whit's, I didn't allow him to move in to behave like a man-child I'm not his maid nor his mom two things I refuse to do as its supposed to be an 'grownup mature serious relationship'. Every time I call him out he retaliates like a scorned child it gets so bad and my family no longer believes he is good enough with how he treats me he belongs in his parents basement. Every time I have had it I get ready to kick him out, he couldn't care what that means for his dog who is like a sister to mine. Only after a serious fight he tries to win me back because he knows his parents wont let him bring his dog with him. After all this his comments of "you wanted to kick me out so we start back at day 1" garbage manipulation to try and make me feel bad. How immature because he's called out instead of getting help he retaliates that relationship will have to restart when I have finally snapped like 3 time and wanted him out. I feel he refuses to waste my time and nothing but lies to stay here and absolutely false promises of marrying me. Yet he sees no issue living here for 1yr 8 months free and when he called me names in front of my brother, insults towards me in front of my family acting cold at gatherings still sees no issues with his behavior. From the get go 4 months in I found out he was helping his ex and her mom with unnecessary phone bills, instead of investing in our relationship. I told him if he thinks I will wait forever and take care of an grown man-child who thinks marriage is stupid in my home he is seriously mistaken. He said he didn't smoke come to find he did both cigarettes and marijuana he claimed for his OCD ADHD. He made promises to my parents who believed like my friends if he truly loved me was serious about this one sided relationship an engagement would have happened by now, and the other promises he'd not stonewall on.....yet this has been continues he wont get up not even at 9 or 10am since he lost his job to anything just lays in bed across from my bedroom. Still expects me to maintain home I own not him like how his mom does.....its nauseating and pathetic. I should have seen it a mile ahead but I felt bad for him and him wanting to get his dog from his ex, but couldn't keep her at his parents because they don't like big dogs and his nasty-bitchy sister is allergic. His sister doesn't like me she thinks I'm keeping him from her, yet she says he needs to go to therapy. If I wants paying for the relationship therapy he'd never go. I wanted to be optimistic though its clear he might just never change and I'd have to move on, in which case I'd feel bad for his dog as I take way better care of her than he ever could....probably only reason I let him stay here in my home. If the specialist cant get him to see what he is doing is destroying what little left resolve I had to make it work then I sadly must have him pack his stuff and go elsewhere, especially since he has made comments of "if you kick me out I wont comeback" a narrcistic-manipulator much. Today the specialist meets with him one on one if he can't see that he wants to change, wants to make the relationship work and that he will either step up and go to counseling or he will tell me its beyond fixing and time to fully end the relationship. I agree right now its like a trauma bond and he is showing not the guy that I believed in. Its difficult to leave if you have PTSD from childhood trauma and foster care , its difficult if your whole life the people let you down abandoned you so you try to make excuses to put up with him. I made it clear I was looking for marriage within 2 and half years time because I wanted a family and he manipulated that.
