My mind actually went to frustrated parents - which I'll never understand. If my son or daughter worked their ass off to afford a console and a few games, I'd keep that in mind if the same console ended up warranting some punitive measures. Lock it away, sure, or maybe just use the console's Parental Controls or some external app for your TV to monitor their use - but busting or throwing away perfectly functional hardware is just dumb. I'm reminded of that viral video of a father unloading a hand cannon's worth of ammo in his daughter's HP laptop because of failed grades. Yeah. Nice going there, Captain Testosterone, I'm sure that's going to motivate your daughter into being forward when it comes to her online habits!

When I first bought the pro, I had problems with it freezing and shutting itself off from getting too hot. I then just put it on a metal wire locker shelf and that was more than enough to keep the console cool, lifting it up and letting air pass underneath

I love the NES hard drive! But for my PS4 (slim), I had to do something, because it was overheating. I just took a shoebox and cut holes in the middle. One for air to flow through and to keep my external hard drive in. Solved my problem right away 😁
