J. Vernon McGee said, "The problem with churches nowadays is there is more laughter in the pulpit than tears on the altar."

Can't get tears 😢 at the altar if we don't have people in the Church to go to the altar.

@Daniel T then that my friend is so true. 2 Chronicles 7:14 King James Version 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Revival comes through repentance.

“If You Always Do What You’ve Always Done, You’ll Always Get What You’ve Always Got.” --- Henry Ford. I have pastored two dying churches and one that was plateaued. We took a look at what was essential and focused on being a disciple and making disciples. Very few if any knew what the gospel is and had shared the their After about one year the leaders started ministries they led. All of them became outward focused. The people needed to discuss the tough things. The churches who were humble have done very well. One church had lost its building, their pastor and most of the people. Now they own 20 acres and have a church building that is paid for. The people began to pray for big things and God answered in such big ways that we were in awe.

This is surprisingly good information. I am currently attending a church that falls into some but not all of these categories but the biggest problem with it is that it is set up in such a way that no change is possible. The leadership is the firewall and unless one wants to become the constant irritant who is easily dismissed as just a complainer there is no way to get them to see where they are lacking. But the worst problem with this church is that there is no place else to go that is any better.

I found a Christ centered church that teaches Christ crucified, biblical theology, and actively builds disciples. My church is alive with brothers and sisters of all age ranges. Keep looking and praying for God to lead you to His church, He will not fail you! God bless.

When religion is based upon a college/divinity school education of its ministers and priests, the churches end up with "ivy-league pastors" who think that religion is all about intellectualism. Intellectualism is all about: "I'm educated! You're not! Therefore, you need to listen to me!" If you take away the divinity school aspect of our pastors, you have "Jesus" who was not a divinity school minister of the Gospel, but "a messenger of His Father." In our "sin-based, Baptist-type churches," the message of Jesus is lost as members see anyone who are "not-saved" as sinners who will go to hell! Meanwhile, what would Jesus think??? Jesus would NOT be in sympathy with this "Baptist-type thinking" that (first) hell is a viable place and (second) that our Heavenly Father would actually send people to Hell. God the Father is not our judge. He is our loving Father who loves His children. Intellectualism and a uncharitable theology are the things that will cause people to "walk". Again, it is a case of the "Pharisees" against the "Publicans!" Modern churches have more pharisees than publicans!

Personally I have been a Christian for 33 years - 20 in "church" & the last 13 out of "church". I attended 2 Bible Colleges been a member of 6 different "denominations" (no such word in the entire Bible). 1. There are over a 1000 Christian "denominations" all claiming they are right. We are one "In Christ" 2. There is only one Gospel for the Christian - the Gospel of Grace & NOT a mixture of Law & Grace. 3. More 50% of New Testament is made up of Paul's Epistles as given to him by Jesus Christ Himself to take to who? It clearly says the gentiles Acts 28:26-28 (KJV). 4. Why Paul's Epistles were ever included in the Bible when Pastors/Ministers refuse to preach it other than select certain scriptures that suit their particular man made religious doctrine, I don't know! I could go on but save to say "church is not a elaborate building - it is the "Body of Christ" of which Christ is the Head. I can be sitting at a coffee shop & have "church" with a friend. Not one denominational church that I attended ever preached "Christ Spiritually speaking lives in the Born Again Christian" see Colossians 1:26-27, Galatians 2:20-21 & in the King James Version in the Bible 146 times "in Christ or Christ in" is mentioned & yet never preached by 90% of ministry - why I ask myself? 5. I have learnt more about Christianity out of "church" than in "church". I leave you with this saying "The whole Bible is FOR YOU but the whole Bible is NOT TO YOU".

Correct. The first thing would be to replace the fully nonsensical Trinity theory - which is contrary to the disclosure of the gospels too - by my theory. My theory makes sense instead and is well supported by gospels. MY THEORY : The problem is that it's impossible for the almighty God be here now. Why? It's due to the fact that the future is now SET IN STONE. We can have FREE WILL because we do NOT know what is written in the stone and do not care about that. But God would KNOW that future instead and that future MUST COME TRUE. This means God would NOT be OMNIPOTENT: He could not even change the weather of tomorrow! He would thus be OBLIGED to let the future set in stone EXACTLY UNFOLD like it is, nothing can be changed. God would NOT BE FREE either, because obliged to TAKE EXACTLY the God's actions already set in stone, down to the tiny detail. How could God manage to solve that problem? The almighty God was in a very distant past, before the birth of mankind and time ("...BEFORE THE WORLD BEGAN. O righteous Father, the WORLD HAS NOT KNOWN YOU....") and from that temporal point He was able to OBSERVE US in his future and to take ACTIONS in that future. But this conversely means - from our point of view - that we are REACHED BY HIM from that past. God is thus actually PRESENT HERE, but ONLY with his words and actions. It's a kind of phone communication with the past, with added possibility of omnipotent actions. In other terms we can say that God IS A SPIRIT here ("God is a spirit") because He is active but those actions are actually MADE BY NOBODY. That Spirit - who is here - is called the Holy Spirit. On the other hand, the almighty God - who dwells in that distant past - corresponds to the "Father" of the baptismal formula, no one ever saw Him ("the world has not known you")... That above is from our point of view. From GOD'S POINT OF VIEW instead things are different: when the universe started the almighty God had already done ALL HIS WORK. He already decided all his future actions so that the future was now FINALLY SET IN STONE, to be made AUTOMATICALLY TRUE by his power. He had thus made EVERYTHING. He could get rid of his then USELESS power to become like a NORMAL MAN: the Son. "Son" thus means that He DERIVES from God, He is not a Son in the common sense of the word. As a normal man, He also has a relationship with God (but much stronger), He has thus a relationship with a "different Himself". The Son has thus no power at all, but He sits in heaven next to the power of God. His power is thus always "borrowed" from the Father, under his consent. God has thus already lived his "mankind experience" once as the almighty God. He is now living his "mankind experience" a second time as a normal man.
