@@drewfromyay882 it's just that the fights usually end with most people thinking that if there was just 1 more round, Nate would finish it. It's not true, but it's hard to not have the thought cross your mind in a lot of his bouts. It's that "moral victory" of essentially getting the last word in

I would have to agree that, for most or all of these fighters, the reason they stuck around the promotion, the rankings, and even challenging for a belt is that they’ve always put on an exciting fight, win or lose. I’m glad to know that high performing losses do give these fighters some cache in their respective promotions. I’ve seen some losses that were frankly so impressive that I thought the losing fighter should go UP in the rankings; the winner should just go up more.

I’m honestly not a huge fan of Hooker 🤷🏽‍♂️ The way he handled shit after his boy Volk got beat put a sour taste in my mouth tbh. He was still butthurt that Islam made him look like an amateur so when Islam beat his buddy he started flappin his gums. Talking about how he KNOWS Islam cheated and that he has proof, we just “had to wait for it to all come to light”… 😒 A.) if you have proof that someone cheated to beat your friend, you wouldn’t say “just wait and see guys! I have the proof, I swear, but I’m just not gonna post it right away” for literally NO reason at all, you’re gonna put that person on blast for being a cheater. B.) it looks WAY worse when you start lettin shit fall from that hole in your face and then don’t back anything up at all 🤦🏽‍♂️ like he said he had allllll this proof of Islam being a cheater, even going as far as to say he basically had a confession from the doctor who administered the iv drip, allegedly, & that he was gonna post it for all of us to see… just to ghost the entire situation and not even bother going forward with what he said. So yea, he got his ass beat and then his teammate got his ass beat so he got bootytickled that Islam wouldn’t lose so he came up with some weak ass excuse just to not back anything up. What a 🤡

Why is Uncle Chael on this list? He's undisputed undefeated, never lost a round let alone a fight. He put such a beat down on Jon Jones (hell he practically ripped JJ's toe off), that the entire world collectively agreed to allow Jones, out of shear sympathy, to walk away with Uncle Chaels belt. Chael P. (the P stands for excellence) Sonnen is such a class act that he didn't even protest. Some men are born great, some men become great, some men are lucky enough to be Chael P. Sonnen.

My only knock against Hooker was him calling Islam a cheating dog without physical evidence. It would be one thing if he was lining up a fight but Islam beat the piss out of him already. & I get it was after his teammate also lost to Islam but that shit drives me crazy. Especially bc he was really the first to start the rumor. Guy used to legitimately be one of my favorite fighters

Colby is the epitome of this video being made. If anyone can give me ONE solid, GOOD reason as to why he DESERVES(key word) this title fight, I will change my entire outlook on the man. “BeCaUsE hE sElLs TiCkEtS” or “people wanna see him fight whether it’s winning or losing” are not good reasons to skip over the deserving contenders who are actually putting in work. I want ONE good reason as to why he somehow deserves this title shot after being 0-2 in title fights and with 0 wins over ranked or active fighters when there’s fighters like Belal waiting for their shot.. or even Vicente Luque.. Regardless of everyone’s OPINION about Belal, it doesn’t take away from the fact that he is 10X more deserving than Colby every would be. Hell even Vicente is more deserving. This 🤡 is only getting his shot cuz he talks a lot. And he’s not even good at it. His shit sounds rehearsed and not just that but his insults are some of the weakest I’ve ever heard(using or altering someone’s name like “Marty Fakenewsman” as an insult is elementary level shit and my son, who’s 8, can come up with better insults) and he’s the least intimidating fighter in the WW division.

Okay Mr.Philosopher your main problem with this rant is your missing one key factor, the UFC is a prize fighting organisation that's a Business at the end of the day. Your purist and idealistic attitude won't change that fact. Yes yes "hE SeLlS tIcKeTs" because it's a business, UFC always makes that clear, this is not some governmental democratic meritocracy, if it was, it would of gone the way of Pride, WEC and Strikeforce. Even PFL and Bellator are having business trouble, because there not running it like a business, therefore losing money and investors. Do you know that? Come to reality buddy. You think Poatan deserved to be fast tracked to UFC title? He jumped like 10-15 people in the rankings. Because the fans wanted to see Izzy vs Poatan in a MMA fight. How is it the UFC's fault that these fighters don't drum up hype for there fights? To sell tickets? There's only so many fighters UFC can promote, and in the age of social media, it's easier than ever for these fighters to do just that, promote themselves. If these fighters want Honor or meritocracy, go join the army and fight for your country, because there is no Honor or meritocracy in prize fighting, and the "contenders" have to drum up support and hype if they want to get noticed. The thing is, I actually agree with you, but that's because we're hard-core MMA fans, the casuals are the problem, they need drama, hype, controversy to get interested in the fight. That's just how it is mate. It annoys me too, but I've been watching MMA for too long to get pissed at it.

Colby is pure cringe, wants to be chael so bad but really just shouts and doesn't articulate anything or is remotely funny at all, I think people just want to see him lose so they watch his fights and he wins the majority of them unfortunately.

Matt Brown is as popular as he is because we've all known a guy who reminds us of him. If you're from a small town in the South or Midwest you know what I'm talking about. Solid dude with a rough past that works harder than everyone else... you just pictured someone.

For me it's Kevin Holland. He always brings exciting fights, good on the mic, doesn't matter if he wins or loses. Never skipped a Holland fight or even drifted off watching them. Just non-stop action and random bullshit, love it
