This Feldenkrais lesson uses awareness of octopus movement simulating the touch of the octopus as an exercise to stimulate each finger for more sensitivity. Use each finger with awareness to activate sensitivity to improve finger dexterity, palpation, improve sensitivity for all activities with all ten fingers. Helpful hand exercise for stroke, brain injury and cerebral palsy as well as helpful for musicians and anyone using their hands for activities.
This short lesson is inspired from a longer lesson from Annie Thoe's Feldenkrais Octopus Awareness series on Sensing Vitality™ Patreon.

PS - Want to help octopus? First, don't eat them or buy them as pets! Next, decrease your use of plastic - plastic bags, bottles, cups, clothing which goes into our oceans. Walk or bicycle, take public transit and decrease your use of fossil fuels that acidifies the oceans.

🙏🏽 it would be more helpful if your narration accompanied a video of the movements instead of a written description of what you are narrating. That way we could see what you are demonstrating rather than read what we can already hear.🙏🏽

thanks-- I almost always demonstrate in my lessons, but intentionally did this lesson without external demonstration to encourage you to do this lesson with eyes closed so you are as internal as possible with these movements and not imitating my movements. And I added the text for those who don't speak English so well to hear instructions....
