So, the third ingredient in the first sauce is called Kecap Manis. It’s an Indonesian sauce. But it sounds so much like he’s saying “Ketchup-mayonnaise”. That threw me off for a second!

Made this yesterday, so good! I used a cheaper choice new york strip. $3.99/lb turned out so soft seared it with my searzall. I used garlic texas toast from the frozen section. And I couldn't find the sweet soy sauce but I have made it before "eel sauce" for sushi. Turned out amazing.

Hi Guga, small tipps for even better caramelised onions. Add some butter to the oil. The oil prevents the molten butter from burning but you still get that nice nutty flavor brown butter has. Also just a pinch of sugar aids the caramelisation for even more browning.

made this out of some cheaper sirloin steaks tonight! couldnt make your sauce so I made a garlic cream sauce from the bag juices instead. Had to sub out the bread for keto friendly bread which unfortunately overpowered the other flavors a bit, but all in all still a great dinner!

I saw a paper about mixing a small amount of ground up pellicose from dry aging with ground beef to make a tastier burger. You guys should try it out, also could reduce some of the waste that comes with dry aging

Guga, pro tip: whenever I make grilled cheese sandwiches (or any type of sandwich bread fried in a pan), substitute 1/2 the butter with bacon fat. It makes the browned part of the bread extra crispy and less soggy. and of course, I don't use that much; just enough to moisten the bread.

The best thing I learned from you is to save the juices. I throw them in a ziplock freezer bag and freeze them flat. I use them instead of better than bullion.

Always keep the juices. Last time I cooked a steak, used skillet pan. Took steak out of pan and put some water in hot pan - made sure those juices didn't just get dried to nothing. When the water had reduced, poured it over resting steak. So glad I did

I just bought a sous vide thing, waited 3 hours for my steak to finish, I get my cheapass creme brulee torch out to char it a bit, but it too a very long time to do. When I was finished the steak was well done and chewy as hell.

I season 1 side and put it back in the fridge for a couple hours,season the other side and put them in fridge again then get them out an hour before cooking them

Bro, I tried this with a Boston but, I cut a 2 inch steak off of it and seasoned it as you did and made your sauce. seasoned the rest as pork pernil. then cooked the steak as you did, toasted a french loaf on at 600° grill and seared the meat, smeared your sauce on it and shreaded lettuce and tomato, WHAT, that mess was delicious. I love cooking and love trying new things and love your style. thanks for making me better😉 pork pernil, black beans, plantains, rice and pico for supper tomorrow 😉😊😋
