Looks like she works at Dropbox which has been shrinking rapidly since her time of employment.

More videos like this please. ❤This is the most important topic of this era. Knowing what doesn’t work is so essential to every entrepreneur. Please make another one or do a course, do something but we need more!

I’m a CMO and could not agree more with Elena’s point about rebrands and homepages! Every time I have led one there is a hit to traffic for at least a quarter. I believe rebrands can be powerful for many reasons but immediate growth is not one of them. Love the real talk!

Elena explained Growth Hacks quite well opening a totally new domain, never knew if growth frameworks exist, to share her contrarian - full time job gets me thinking and closing off on reading materials. Thanks for introducing her!

Kudos to Elana. She's really leveraged this podcast and a witty social media presence to carve out and stick to a strategic framework that might be too good to fail. And honestly it's symbolic with MUCH of Silicon Valley... Insert relatively smart human into a company with fantastic product market fit and a captive audience, and watch as your career is minted even when the ecosystem optimizes success and (often) masks or dampens failure. Only she's taken this reality and put metrics around it; 1M+ in ARR, signal for PMF, deep data across a vast user base, level expectations... I don't know if it all sounds like one massive cop out or just the right kind of perfect from a smart person who created leverage, but good on her either way.

Completely agree on the contrarian view. Permanent, full-time role is not always the best. It's all about where you can develop your skills, find the most interesting opportunities, or earn the most. At Outsized we see this trend every day - the nature of employment is secondary to the points above.
