10:25 "only a matter of time before there's no glaciers left". I wouldn't worry. 30 years ago I visited and remember a plaque showing how Salamander Glacier had shrunk over time. The good news is it was no smaller in your video than it was when I visited 30 years ago in July.

We did Siyeh Pass last June and encountered 5 grizzlies. Praise God they looked and continued on their way but this entire park has stolen my heart. Nothing like it and you were blessed to have been born and raised there! Couldn’t agree more with you on respecting the beautiful wonder of nature!!!

You can certainly turn around at any point, not everyone completes the entire route - it’s a long trail!

I've done this hike three times, and the first time I hiked it I could only do 3.5 miles because of my time constraint. There was no smoke and the views were amazing, and I can understand why this hike is ranked as one of the top hikes in Glacier. If you do just two miles you will see a good part of the view and it will be difficult to turn back. This trail is mostly flat, with some trip stones so bring some poles and you will be fine.

No actual local would misidentify Many Glacier as East Glacier as many times as you did. Totally different regions 30+ Mike's from each other. I'm guessing you're from Idaho.

As mentioned in this video, I was born and raised in Montana. Minutes from the West Glacier Park Entrance. We’ve always referred to the greater area on the east side of the park, which includes Many Glacier, as east Glacier. The confusion here comes from the fact that East Glacier Park is also the name of an unincorporated community at the south east corner of the park.
