Thank you so much for the way you explain things. There are many great guitarists out there but not many great teachers. You seem to have mastered both. You don't just teach how to play songs, but why we play the songs this way. Everyone at every level needs a little bit of theory. It makes the journey easier and more fulfilling.

Thank you Jared. I'm putting your levels to work. I put these songs into an Ultimate Guitar playlist where I can use slowdown, loop, and use their backing tracks. I replaced Ode to Joy with Black Sabbath Planet Caravan and replaced Wonder Wall with Peter Murphy Strange Kind of Love. I added Marty Robbins El Paso and Willie Nelson Seven Spanish Angels, too. This is great.

This is cool because it is letting me learn some basics. That said, I am taking the time (at this point) trying to figure the note intervals ... for mind sake, ... understanding ... ... The key and the chord "interval" (if I am using the term correctly?) I am going to work on the Betoven (sp) gig... as I went to go off with various aspects... doing the note clean and in time ... self disciples and not go off on note rambling or exploring ... yet.! Thanks... (some might say I am intermediate but what is between super beginner and intermediate?

Give em some cowboy chord simple songs. First thing beginners learn is usually cowboy chords. For me I feel this lesson is lesson 2 like after you know the cowboy chords hear is a fresh challenge. Big respect and love bro. David Bahar , Edinburgh Scotland.

@ psycho,,,, uh, you're joking, right. Did you not look at the fretboard fingerings and the tabs? Maybe seek out one on one individual in person instruction or one of the myriad other YT videos that start from total scratch.

As a new beginner I have a qıestion, last time I picked up a guitar my finger tips started getting really sore, even to a point that I was unable to feel what I touch with my fingertips, and I didn't want it to be permanent so I gave up on it, don't you guys have a similar issue?
@bradenmichaud394Ай бұрын
Yes that’s normal, especially for the first 4-7 days. I think the soreness is from the damage your fingers from when you first start playing. after the first week or so your fingertips build up enough cartilage that it won’t hurt anymore (unless you overwork yourself playing). In my experience of playing (just two month) have noticeably less feeling in the tips of my fingers but it has at no interfered with my life. However I definitely have more feeling in my fingertips than I did after the first week or so of playing so it might also get better with time like the soreness but at a much slower rate.

You go way too fast buddy. Too fast for me anyway , and I can already play 2 songs. So real beginners have no chance.
