SF and SG Subaru forester river crossings from mild to wild. Haven't been able to get out for new footage lately so apologies if you have already seen some of these.

This is nuts. You definitely take it way beyond what they were made for. You do know they make boats for such activities right? Lol

These videos are awesome dude. Do you have early low range boxes in these?

Hey, Ive got my sf lifted and new wheels, and was wondering if you'd still be interested in going to the powerlines or offroading in the subie's somwhere!! love watching your videos and would be amazing to see your forester and learn even more about your mods! cheers, Arjun

no sane person would attempt 😂mate this is insane, did you have a 2.5/3 inch lift for the original sf or higher? Cheers
@SubaruOffRoad9 ай бұрын
2inch with lifted king Springs but the extra winch weight cancelled out the weight on the front. Not sure how I feel about 2.5 inch on the front, going to be pretty marginal on ball joints and cvs at full droop.
@Liftedsfforester9 ай бұрын
@@SubaruOffRoad wow ok, I’ve heard mixed things about putting the 2.5/3 strut spacers on, I think you’re right though, I’d rather not rip boots or break cv joints all the time, so maybe 2/2.5 is a better option
@SubaruOffRoad9 ай бұрын
@@Liftedsfforester it's a safer bet and will be cheaper in the long run. Like I said I haven't run 2.5inch in an SF but I did have 54mm spacers and it was pretty much maxed out on the ball joints.
@Liftedsfforester9 ай бұрын
@@SubaruOffRoad definitely, think I’ll stick with 2 inch, thanks

Hey again, just wondering about you’re suspension/lift, are you using the raceworks gz 6 inch lift coil overs for the sg? Looks absolutely sick! I’ve just bought a torque locker for my sf so can’t wait
@SubaruOffRoad5 ай бұрын
Hi. Have custom hotbits coil overs on this one. Got them before race works existed. If I were to do it again I would probably go an off the shelf option like race works.

What size lift and tires are you running, any engine mods?

Just out of frame: bridges
@SubaruOffRoad5 ай бұрын
Nah think it would be at least a 10km detour on 4wd tracks to take a bridge in all of these instances. And some much more. But for two of them the track ended on the other side of the river so the crossing was just for the fun of it.
