Such a great video :D and I have a question: how much does good form matter as long as I feel the stretches in the right places and improve? I'm generally fit but struggle with flexibility & such exercises always feel a bit awkward

Good form is everything! What do you mean by feeling awkward? The thing about flexibility is... i also thought i was fit and flexible until i tried certain things and noticed I was not as fit as i thought. Being flexible requires a lot of overall strength and training the missing muscles to allow you to extend and contract properly.
