I made these a couple weeks ago also, one batch using the PB Fit substitution and another batch using a peanut butter flavored vegan protein substitution. The texture definitely came out better using the vegan protein, so I feel it's the best option in that you're still getting that peanut butter enhanced flavor, nice soft-cookie texture, and not breaking the bank with vegan protein/"cookie butter" ingredient (I think I got mine on sale for like $20 for a 32.4oz tub).

Will there be more creams in the future with the skinny syrups? There’s so many syrups like glaze donut and birthday cake that would sound perfect in an icecream

Great review Nick! I do want to find a cookie butter replacement to use. One of the reasons I don't subscribe to FDL is due to the fact he uses his cookie butter in so many recipes. I buy enough supplements, and find the pricing on these to be too high considering the use I would get from them on average. If anyone has find a solid replacement let me know.

Apparently he has said that a vegan protein powder can be used as a substitute. According to a video by Kenny Fischer in his review of these cookies.

@mcfarvo3 жыл бұрын
An original Oreo is only about 53kcal/cookie, HOWEVER the nutrient profile of that Oreo is more likely going to trigger a binge/overeating because of how hyper-palatable and low-satiating it is; therefore, you are less likely to overeat/binge on these alternatives, but don't think you can simply eat a bunch of these alternative cookies and it would be way "better for one's health." Are these higher-protein alternatives significantly more filling/satiating? Are they cost-effective? Would it be better to simply hit your macros with more filling protein sources like egg whites, lean meats (chicken breast, turkey breast, white fish, 0% fat Greek yogurt, etc.), then simply eat a few Oreos? That's up to you. I would bet these floppy protein-packed cookies are more expensive, time-consuming, and not that satisfying as compared to simply having some other protein sources and a normal Oreo or chocolate chip cookie.
@daniellabonafede53903 жыл бұрын
This is definitely a good point, but I know a lot of these anabolic recipes are specifically for people who struggle with binge eating or tend to feel unsatisfied if they can’t volume eat. If I could eat one serving of oreos and be totally fine with egg whites and chicken then awesome. But unfortunately a lot of us need the variety, craving crushers, and more volume foods or else it’s easy to fall off :( plus sometimes it’s just fun to eat cookies on a diet lol!
