I've heard mixed reviews about his cookie butter and I haven't tried it but I will say that some of his recipes I would love to try but won't just because it doesn't make sense for me buy his cookie butter when I will only use it for one recipe I crave maybe once a month if that. But I love his channel nonetheless.

I’m not sure if it would’ve mattered but, I think Zach used one of his vegan cookie butters in the recipe. I think the cinnamon roll one is dairy. Still though, glad you reviewed these and tried the substitutions as well. Good on ya Nick!

Good review! Can't bring myself to buy more products like his cookie butter. As far as making baking recipes stand mixer completely changes the game. So much easier and I agree with you that using whey/casein blend or straight casein (thank you Kenny Fischer) makes baked goods so much better.

Love it! Please do more if their songs - shooting star, left right, hesonoo/x-gene performance, winter without you (the first take). Any of those are great! It's cool seeing your perspective as a musician, speaking of flute I think Le Sserafim's new single "easy" has a distorted flute on the beat throughout the song, just a really listenable vibey chill hip hop track with killer choreo. Kpop is such a diverse industry blending various genres, i never thought I'd get into it but i probably listen to it more than Western music now. But yeah blackpink and stray kids was my entry point too, it's accessible to a Western audience. Maybe that's why i like xg so much too 😅

I made these yesterday and 1. after the 5 minutes in the air fryer the insides were still like partially wet dough. 2. when they were "done" the outside and inside has the texture of regular bread I did leave the dough in the fridge for hours.

Hey Nick! I used to do donuts every goddamn morning as a pastry chef, made from a pan brioche dough prepared the day before (with yeast). Do you think it could be possible to do something like that and still considering it an "anabolic" recipe? I'm well versed in my field but not so much in low calories alternatives.

I have both whey and casein separately. To approximate, a whey casein blend is usually 80:20 right? If someone could confirm, I'd appreciate it.

I feel the same way on the munchkins. They were too much nutmeg. And I like the cookie butter in his chocolate chip cookies. But some of the others I prefer the alternatives. I respect the grind for sure. Pretty honest review and as always much appreciated nick.

I made the cinnamon raisin squares from Greg's cookbook last night using PEScience snickerdoodle powder and they came out very cakey/spongey, which was impressive considering about 90% of the dry ingredients in that recipe is protein powder. I think that speaks volumes to how good the whey/casein is for baking. Great review by the way, and I love the comparison between with and without the cookie butter powder.

I can’t speak for all situations, but I have made FDL’s chocolate chip cookies and subbed powdered peanut butter for the cookie butter power and they came out great.

It's the same as the one o. FDL's channel, the substitutions are in the description and you can just reduce the nutmeg to 1 gram.
