OH MY GOODNESS! This is my favourite mobility routine!! I like that it incorporates so many standing exercises. When I'm trying to wake up in the AM, lying down for a stretch is so unhelpful - LOL 😆

When I do the half kneeking portion i get a cramp in my hamstrings. Any suggestions?

I understand the strength work this involves. Can’t see how holding single leg squat (or side plank) contributes to “mobility”?

I think weak hip flexors can limit your mobility and you end up needing to recruit other muscles to help compensate for their weakness, thus restricting movement because those compensating muscles aren't designed for that range of motion. So strengthening muscles around the hip and core means more balanced strength in the chain, thus better mobility as muscles are firing in sync. If you've ever had spasms when trying a lunge, squat, or another compound lower body exercise, this is why: an imbalance of muscle strength. But maybe we can also wait for the channel to answer?

Mobility - the quality of be mobile. These exercises are to get the blood pumping and the body to not be so stiff in the morning. Everyone is at a different level. Some people wake up and struggle to get their body move. Side plank works oblique and the spine movement. The single leg hold, some people could struggle in the morning to even get that low.
