I have been struggling to stick to meals because they so complicated. I love the simple 50/50 plate. I'm not a volume eater but like to feel full and satisfied. Otherwise that will set me on a binge

I always peel my cucumbers because I can’t afford organic- I heard that if you are not eating an organic cucumber you should peel it… not sure if that is true or not?

Yes I would do the same. That actually makes me feel better about the ones I’m eating in this video because I don’t believe they were organic. Thanks for mentioning that.

I can't do soy sauce at all and it seems like you use it on a lot. It gives me migraine. So what can I use for that? Also I'm looking for your homemade recipe for cereal ya'll made I saw and I can't find it any place. Ideas. Thanks for sharing and God bless ya.

I feel like this is the year of “women’s hormones” and protein for perimenopause and menopause….AND I AM SO CONFUSED!! I am reading that women at this stage need more protein for bones and health and getting it from the regular sources isn’t enough…..more tofu, tempeh, seitan, protein powder, etc. It’s very confusing and I’ve heard women say not to listen to the plant based doctors as they don’t consider women who are at this stage of life.

I think it’s best to not listen to “gurus” and the noise out there. Always trust the science and actual data. As a 43 year old woman, I have not experienced a need to eat more protein for my hormones.

To add, I would absolutely NOT discount the plant based doctors. They know what they are talking about - I would say more than the “regular” doctors. This is because the plant based doctors are educated in nutrition as well. Most of the other doctors are not. Just something to think about.

I don’t disagree but it appears that these women are showing “the science” as well. I bought Dr. Barnard’s hormone book and really enjoyed it. I guess I am just on information overload and don’t want to lose muscle mass or have skin issues….crepe-y skin, old looking skin, etc. These women are saying protein is the most satiating nutrient but I hear Dr. McDougall saying it’s the boiled potato….haha. I just feel like I am seeing women’s hormone health all over social media and feeling confused. Thanks for your input!

@@megansmith9108 yeah it can be overwhelming and overload for sure. You may just have to feel it out for yourself. I can honestly say I don’t see any 40 or older women eating plant based looking or feeling bad. Again, I’m 43 and haven’t looked it felt better and my hormones are as even as they’ve ever been.

Megan smith, you’re right. I’m eating plant based, but I’ve been told, by my doctor, I’m losing muscle mass, I’m in menopause, so I need to up protein. So I’m trying ❤️Christy
