The major thing I really appreciate of your videos is that you have NO MUSIC. I know I may be weird, but I don't like music with my workouts because I like to either watch the tv or the news or pay attention to whatever. Your interval workouts are the BEST, especially for me since I'm a really last-minute person. I'm going to try to keep this up until I get my fitness back :D

I had to come here today instead of SP because for some reason my computer was being slow and the video kept stopping. WOW - when i first did this workout about 3 weeks ago, i'd find myself stopping when she announced 'half-way', this time i lasted the whole way through!! Woo hoo - thankyou sparkpeople!!

Wonderful video. I actually didn't know the jumping rope was that good of a workout before so I always got stuck with jogging which I don't like doing at all, so I'd give up easily. I love doing this on the other hand, and it's something I'll be able to stick to very regularly.

Exactly! As much as possible. Your abs will engage somewhat naturally to support your body while you jump, but it's always a good idea to be conscious of this, too, which will help you balance and stand taller as you work out.

I only could do 5 minutes of this exercise. I'm terribly out of shape. I'm 27 years old, 5'4 and 145 lbs and a mom. Doesn't sound bad I know.. but last time I exercised I was in high school (10 years ago). :P I'll keep doing as much as I can everyday though. Will not give up. And Nicole is a very good coach. I just follow her to exercise :)

Sparkpeople: How do i use your cardio and strength workouts in a wa y that i don't end up in a plateau? I mean working out everyday to this video won't work forever right? ho w do i shuffle? By the by, KILLER workouts! thank you!!
@robert10145514 жыл бұрын
@TheWatcherAlias Doing it by reps is how I jump rope. If you're not used to jumping rope, you'll want to work up to longer sets (more reps per set), but at present I do 600 reps per set, and I do five sets. At the speed I jump, it takes me 4 minutes to do 600 jumps, and I rest for 60 seconds between reps. This works out to 20 minutes of total jumping per session.

Yeah, for anyone who's biking, if you want to get your heartrate up immediately, gear up to smallest ring in the front (labelled 1 on your shifter) and the biggest ring in the back (also labelled 1 on your rear shifter) and pump as hard as you can. make sure not to slip the pedals as it will come up and strike you in the shin. If you can go really hard for about 7s-10s your heartrate will probably max. Same with sprinting.

Enough cardio will eventually help burn the fat covering your abs, with the help of a good diet of course. Your abs will be there and visible just not completely shredded without weight training. If you want flat abs little definitions cardio will work. But if you want shredded abs you need to do weight and ab workouts as well.
